Dunno about top speed coz I ran out of road but i've had 155mph. I did 130mph in 4th gear at 7000 revs which I thought was nice. I love the UK gearbox . MY95UK.

Slightly off subject. But, with some of our car having Tracker, I would guess that they can tell how fast your car is going and where it is i.e, not on a private road. Would be a bummer if they contacted the police !!!

Gareth, i have often wondered this when zipping about. Although i did enquire with the tracker engineer who came to replace mine as it kept triggering itself and they kept phoning me !! (still, nice to know it works) He says that they arent allowed to do so. I reckon they could use it as evidence if you was caught speeding and denied it though. !

Wink

i would love to see the faces on the guys in the control room of tracker if they were to monitor my car at the weekend.

"he keeps going round in 13 mile circle at 150MPH, nutter" LOL

I wonder if its posible to get a GPS plot printed out, that would be cool to have on my wall.

PMSWL at that one John, "this blokes a nutter, just doing circles"

I prefer the acceleration kick more than top speed TBH, especially in a UK Wagon, while following a STi5 Type RA.

David...whos that then

Well off the clock, about 2cm past 160, christ knows what Tracker would be thinking, is he trying to take off on that runway or something?? Does he know its a car and not a plane

My99 Std. No Mods 153mph indicated. Ran out of road, otherwise may have had a little more. I assume this was a bit out and may have been nearer 145 .

Question

Just had the first service done so it's ok if it goes bang now! Got it to rev out in 4th (took ages to get the last 500 rpm) does about 135 -140 mph. Doesn't really want to pull 5th. Started off on slight down hill then levelled out. Clocking about 140 mph. I expexct the speedo over reads so either the engines still tight of needs induction/exhaust modifications to get the thing to breath properly.

Anybody know what Subaru do for the £1600 worth of performance pack? Dealer recons high flow cat (not sure whch one), ecu and some inlet ducting (dont know where).

Ive seen an indicated 160mph on my 92 UK Legacy estate, but I doubt its actually doing it. Though I was still pulling away from a mates Escort Cosworth at the time.

Had my MY02 Wagon up to an indicated 140 in France. Four people in the car, and we ran out of road. Looking forward to trying it again after it's been PPP'd!!

Used to own a light modified (exhaust, filter, remapped ECU, lighted enginer and in car components) Lotus Carlton - last looked at the speedo dead on 177mph and was still going. Stopped the car at a petrol station, and my passenger bought the car - it was me showing him what it could do.

boy did I sweat at that speed. Everything seems to move so slow - slowing down felt like you were walking at 50mph!!
