Yeah I can get on during daytime at work on BT Openworld but not at all via AOL at home, even by using the ICQ code or whatever it's called.

If your having trouble getting on the RS board......
Try this..........

In windows

Find and search for a file called "HOST"

(it should be in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc)

Open it up with notepad and edit it and add the line:

213.130.34.64 bbs.rsownersclub.co.uk

to the bottom of the file

Save and exit

Make sure you close down all Internet explorer windows

I see where your coming from.... I do like the older Mk1's and Mk2's..... Its a shame you dont see more about on the road.... bet most of em are hidden away under blankets... Always fancied doing a Mk2 cossie conversion but never got round to doing it....

Saying that I dont dislike any of the newer RS's (except the mk3 rs1600i!)... Had both an Esc. Cossie and a MY00 WRX and out of the two would defo go for another Escort.....

Cool

Chris,
If you ever do take the plunge and go for the MK11 with the Cossie lump let me know...I have a mate that has done just that and made a real good job of it.

Overheating is a real problem...take advice before going down that road.

Regards,

Russ.

then you could fit a DV to it chris .....you will also need something to check the boost but we can talk in depth about this later LOL

Russ - cheer up - we have all be given the cold shoulder going to our first RS meet, just people can be very clique(spelling) in a lot of groups - sure no offence was meant to your car.

The RSOC has become the Cosworth Owners Club.. Nobody is interested in the old RS motors, or the Focus RS. They will not be interested in the Fiesta RS or Mondeo RS unless the Cosworth badge is brought back!

I loved my Cossie but wish some of these guys would realise that, for the time being, they're obsolete.

well it's not working for me again, bloody stupid site

As for the cosworth elite, it does seem that way a bit, i like the old stuff but couldn't own one, too rare for a good one and i wouldn't want to ruin one by chucking loads of miles on it

Give me a nice 3dr

The RSOC is for all rs's as you know, but just because the people on the board are going on about cossies most of the time, it's only because they own one or wish to own one,or intrested in them.
There are plenty of series 1+2 turbo owners on there too. It's only what people put in that gets people talking about certain cars, and also that there becoming cheap to buy, so younger, computer literate lads and girls are on it all the time talking about THEIR cars.
