Unlucky Steve...and hopefully Nathan will make a guest appearance towards the end of the meet - Judging by the pics in General, he could well have flown straight down the motorway and be the first at the meet.......not that he drives fast

 

ok, ok, I got my days mixed up! Brain not working as well as it could be, lol.

So this Sat, well, it'd be rude not to be there, so I prob will be.

 

I'm still planning on being there . I did think about leaving it covered in Welsh mud for the meet, but as the car was in for its 10k service today I felt too ashamed to give the dealer my dirty car and washed it last night.

I was planning on attending this meet as met a few of you for the first time at the last West Sussex meet, but i have totalled my pride and joy!
Did it last night coming out of the Marina in Brighton. Seems i went over some diesel on a wet surface, back end went, tried to control it but couldnt do anything about it in time. The whole rear end is totally smashed in with buckling all over the car and the rear passengers wheel is buckled under the car. Looks like it is going to be a write off.
The girlfriend was in the back and took the brunt of the force, thankfully she is ok, she went to the hospital in the ambulance but they released her after less than an hour. Just goes to show you how easily these things can happen!
So looks like i will be scoobyless for a while, but will be back with another once the insurance is sorted! Dont think i will go for an RB5 this time as wont quite be the same, maybe an import or possibly a P1. If anybody hears of any scoobs for sale, give us a shout.

These things can easily happen.
That bend tightens up both ways coming in and out of the Marina.
I know cause I had a bit of a hairy moment when following that MAFFIA bloke round it going the other way a few months back.
