OOOOOHHHHH yes.
It took me 1.5 hours to get tol the garage on Saturday morning and about an hour to get back!!

What a difference!! That is how the car should be thank you Prodrive. It took my dealer a little while to fit however it was their first and they did the knocking strut fix at the same time.

YES it is a lot of money however it keeps the warranty on a car that we know nothing about reliability of.

I am sure that better will come along ie ECUTEK etc etc however this is my work car and I need reliability.

Its next trip is to the Star Performance rollers to see if it does what it says on the tin.

The noise is subtle but it is better

Willie,

The knocking Strut fix!!? Successfully??? What exactly did they do, and with what result?? There's several dozen of us been really hung up with S-UK on this (see Thread in "suspension"), so your feedback would be valuable, please!

TIA

Unless someone knows otherwise, you can't get S02 in 225/45x17 (and for the wag that points out that Alfa have just released the 147 GTA on just those, they are a specific fit and compound for the Alfa) so that narrows it down a bit......

WillieF had the same fix as myself & JohnS. New left rear strut & top mount fitted by S&S in Ayr.

Thanks Mark. Was your repair 100% successful, or 90% as in my case and "Urban"s??

Would really appreciate a post from you in the Suspension thread - keeps all the info in one place!

Cheers

Phil

Question

Out of the people that have had the PPP fitted has anyone noticed LOUD vibrations between certain revs? (i.e. 2500-3000 in third gear) or is this normal?

Mine vibrates between 4250-4500 RPM, but not PPP'd yet.

Kinda like a Rattly-humming noise.

I had a problem similar to this with my STI Type UK, it turned out to be a couple of pipes (brake pipes if my memory serves) resonating of each other around 4000rpm. My local garage pulled the pipes away from each other and it stopped it.

hope this helps.

Myself & JohnS already posted in the Suspension thread - 100% sucess.

Kris
I had exactly the same fault, dealer found the same issue with the pipes somewhere under the intercooler.
