i have number 85 of 200 of the version 1 sti wagon, bought it 3 years ago and it's still going strong, although not used nearly as much as it should, was considering selling, but they dont seem to be fetching anywhere near what they are worth, so will be keeping unless a decent offer pops it's head up.

Yours may well be a Vers 3 ' limited - special edition' which probably means a badge on the bootlid and possibly different badges on the seat backs. But they didn't put the underbonnet identifier plates on, after the first 100 and the second 200.
Yours were usually either ' rally ' blue or bright yellow in my experience. I have heard talk of a white one but never seen it.
Good Luck - David API
Sorry you bought the ' wrong car '

94 STI NO 1 OF 200 WAGON
That is a version 3 STi wagon and it won't be one of the limited edition cars noted here. These are all 1994 build cars and have a separate plate on the drivers side suspension turret with a build date and its limited edition number.

I'm just reading this old thread with a lot of interest, I recently bought 16/100 in need of some tlc to get her back together again. previous owner had part stripped it for track work then half stripped the engine too. think I'm going to rebuild the engine to make sure it's all tip top before I try bolting it together and starting her up! it appears to turn over easily enough with a socket and bar on the crank pulley nut. otherwise I have no idea if it's a runner or not!....

Better late then never i suppose. Managed to save number 126/200 from being a complete wreck. Currently under the knife being repaired. Doubt much of it is still original but still has the tag at least.
