Looks good ,who mapped it prior to Bob rawle??
Id just get a body shop to repair the bumper, its minor damage really.
I'm not sure k sports are an upgrade over oem brembos?
What's the reason for the change?
Thanks guys.
the rear bumper is split right on the corner under the light. I spoke to a very reputable body guy near me and he advised that I should replace it. He could repair it but he said it would most likely go again in a year or so. I managed to buy a clean second hand bumper on ebay for £40 so it probably works out cheaper this way anyway.
The car already had the K-sports on it when I purchased it and currently has DS2500 pads. I haven't had a car with the standard gold brembos for years and I can't remember what pads i had then but I do remember they were good brakes.
I imagine you need to get the car on the track to really notice the difference but I haven't tracked it (yet...). The pads need to get warmed up before they really start working. The disks are 356mm, so it stands to reason they would disperse the heat better under hard driving conditions than the smaller brembos which are 326mm if memory serves correctly. They are very good brakes and can haul you down from 3 digit speeds very well indeed, I haven't experienced any fade yet. My only complaint is that they squeal horrendously, but then I remember my brembos used to do that too and that's probably down to the pad choice (and some copper grease) as much as anything. I'm sure there are people on here who prefer one or the other, in my opinion though, it probably doesn't make much difference unless you're on the track where the bigger disks come in to play.
That's the pads that squeal, I run ds2500 also.
they only squeal when cold
once up to temp on track they are fine.
if you dont track the car it probably makes no difference at all.
hope you get damage sorted soon as it must bug the hell out of you on such a clean car

Yes, it is bugging me lol! Once I can get it to a painter it'll be done right away.
Parking it on the road is also annoying me at the moment, too many numpties around here! I can't wait to get the new drive and garage done but this current pandemic it making it difficult.
I may do a couple of track days with it at some point, there was mention on here recently about a meet up and track day. I have the Clio for the track at the moment and that is a lot of fun, it also doesn't matter much if I bin it! I will be heading over to Santa Pod when it opens again for sure though.
Looking good there Adam , will you be running the scoob at pod or the clio...booo to that!
thanks Lockheed. 👍
I’ll be running the scooby at the pod, lol! The Clio is not exactly quick in a straight line!
i have the launch control set up now, although I haven’t tested it yet. Looking forward to it though. Have no idea what sort of time it will run, it’s feeling quick though.
Im really pleased, its actually closer to the 600 club, map sensor and clutch stopped play, i just bought a new clutch from busta moves on ere, map sensor im getting from scooby clinic.
Mark Gillam from Abbey Motorsportspreviously mapped it, this time too, the reason i go to abbey is because he answered some questions of mine on the link g4 forum with out knowing i live only 40mins from oxted, he also reckons theres another 50hp in the motor.
Ill post some graphs once hes happy with it.

Wow, that's some serious power in a Foz! I wonder how many others are out there running that kind of power? Are you still running the MD or have you swapped that too?
Good to know that these guys are good. When my cash flow picks up again I think I'm going for a bottom end refresh so may give them a look.
Look forward to seeing the pics.
Its a gtx3582 bought from lateral £150 cheaper than turbo dynamics, although a much bigger unit it doesnt feel that much laggier than the v. Its quite the thug now 👍

have you got a build thread? would like to here the spec of your 2.5 to handle that power
That's a beast of a turbo there! It's interesting that you don't find it much laggier, do you think that's down to the rotated system?
Out of interest, who built your engine? Like Shrek says, would be an interesting thread to read through if you have the time to do it

Im not sure it makes a difference , ive heard it does with good argument and ive also heard it defo doesn't but I did tell Abbey it was a road car and iknow he did a lot of work on the off boost fuelling , so it drives very nicely off boost he was muttering something about the 4D fuel tables ? I glazed over at that point and started thinking of something else , anyway ive hi-jacked your thread enough .
sweet spec that, what size aet turbo any meth used?
Thanks Sonic.
I’m not sure about the turbo, I think it’s a TD06. Thanks reminds me that I need to give them a call as they never sent me the specs.
i tried to get a picture but the car is in the garage and it’s a bit dark
The one on the left is an MD321T and the AET is on the right. The middle is my old SR40 that made just over 400
@sonic93 I managed to speak with AET regarding the turbo and they said it's a "GTX3071R build with 11 blade Ext'd tip, 7cm T/Hsg".
The car has been sitting in the garage for a few weeks now and the battery went flat, so I decided to buy a trickle charger. It was a fairly cheap thing off of amazon but seems to have done the job a treat!
I got her out today to wipe the dust off and check everything over. I noticed that one of the top struts seems to have a bit of fluid around it. I'm guessing that the coilovers may need a bit of a service so I need to find someone locally that can do it. I just want to drop the car off and let them have it for a week or two, I don't really want to be trying to take them off myself. Any recommendations from around the Herts/Essex area are appreciated. It 's running on KW version 3's.
not a great picture. there is fluid that seems to be coming out the top of the shaft.
Going to drop the oil and change filters tomorrow. I've also been speaking with a couple of people about the next steps for this engine, I can't decide to go for a little refresh or something a bit more involved.....
Now that the local businesses are starting to open up again, I decided it was time to go and get the bumper sorted (you may remember that I reversed in to a lamp post trying to hastily move it for our builders!) I booked it in with Dan at DDL Body Repair Harlow. He seemed to have good reviews on Google and is on my doorstep so I thought he was worth a try. He's done a great job at matching in the colour and the lines are perfect.
I decided not to try and get the old one repaired as it had a little split under the light and I was concerned it may open again, so we just replaced it. We also replaced all of the brackets as they were looking a bit corroded.
I also bought myself a cheeky little present to go in when I have a chance, I'm just waiting for the new bolts to arrive.
Before Stripped and ready to go I love this little gold fleck
I'll be getting this baby in as soon as I have the correct fitting bolts. :-)
Yes mate, very happy with it. Feels like I'd been looking at that broken bumper for far too long! Glad it's back to it's best now.
I have to admit that i did have a wobble a couple of months ago and thought about selling it. It only lasted a couple of days though and happy to say I came to my senses!
I'd like to do a couple of track days now to really start to test out the new setup.
Had a look on MSVT last night but it seems that everyone has gone a bit mad with booking days now the tracks are open again!
Will keep an eye open though and maybe try to do an evening at Brands Hatch if they add one to the calender.
