SWRD 340 LPH fuel pump

still available? Can you confirm it’s one with the individual serial number on it (after the bad batch they had)?

thanks!

Fuel pump is still available, had a look at it but can't see a serial number on the pump itself ?

I wasn't aware that they had problems with their fuel pumps.

Ah ok, yeah they had a poor quality batch, then changed suppliers and put better testing in place, each one is tested individually and given a unique serial number with flow report and so on.

"All our "Colossus" pumps which we have introduced early 2015 are individually serial numbered and tested in the UK at 50psi 60psi and 70psi. Our New "Colossus" pumps are the best pumps available on the market for your Subaru"

Thanks for getting back to me but it's one of the newer ones im after.

Yep, unfortunately that’s correct. I had one of the SWRD pumps and it worked sporadically so on the Dyno the car will go lean under higher demand because the pump couldn’t cope. Having previously seen 440bhp the car struggled to make anywhere near 400 until we swapped out the pump and before that trust me when I say we tried swapping a whole lot more as there were no typical symptoms .
A friend also bought the same pump and his car actually had more obvious issues - fuel starvation, juddering, CEL etc, and again swapping to an RCM / RacingLines Pump cured the problem.
In fairness to SWRD they immediately refunded both of us but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth that they didn’t notify their customers and do a recall when they knew of the issue. Could have ended up worse for some.

Iirc the bad batch weren't the 'collosus' pump,I had one of the bad ones from a group buy and Darrell exchanged it for one of the 290lph collosus pumps.

edit:Thought the one for sale was the collosus, apologies if not.

It is not a 'Colossus' version.

I wonder if they would exchange it, brand new and unused ? (just kidding !)
