It’ll be like some next man touching your bird up in my opinion but that’s just me

if you haven’t the experience or time I guess it’s understandable to give it in for a good detail

so the car went to scoobyclinic on friday for a map check, it was running rich so the map was tweaked and it made 349bhp with 375ftlbs.

next up is a perrin overflow tank so i can remove the great big std one thats been placed near the strut tower stopping me from fitting a front strut brace, once thats done i will be having a few perrin items from the clinic (brake stopper/shifter bush kit).

also looking at getting a link ecu for my car so i can get rid of the maf and give me a few more options like switchable maps/anti-lag/launch control etc. cant fault the guys up at the clinic, very helpful and everything was explained clearly

happy days

Happy days indeed

Excellent figures and a great all round car you have there.

I’ve also been looking at the Perrin brake stopper but I can only find the US version left hand drive one on perrins website.

Do they do a right hand drive one ?

Exterior wise there is nothing left to do, I was toying with the lower line body kit from it autos and maybe having the wheels gold/bronze but to be honest seeing it like that it almost looks perfect to me.

car passed its mot with 0 advisories which is good.

also whilst it was there I had a full air-con service with antibacterial treatment and all 4 tyres inflated with nitrogen.......it was free so I thought **** it-why not

on the bad-side I took the car to a local jet-wash yesterday, as I was washing the front bumper I noticed a mark (either tar/bug etc) that wouldn't shift so I went a little closer to remove the mark and it peeled my fekking paint off like cling-film. gutted as its only 3 month old paint so looks like I will be going back for another bumper re-spray.

meh........

so the car is back in the bodyshop for a front bumper re-paint, they have also done me a good deal on a full paint correction so it will be looking mint again very very soon..........(until I wash it again lol)

also been over to paul finch who has fitted me an obp 3 port oil catch can, very helpful guy he is and highly recommended.

next up for her is a possible sale, I have been in my new house for 6 months and there is so much I want to do to it and whilst I'm spending on the impreza I cant see me ever getting it done.

Some minor jobs completed on the Impreza this morning along with a clean.

1st up was to replace the broken dccd switch that switches between manual and auto diff.

2nd was to replace the cabin filter and **** me did it need replacing,it must have been the original as it was black as hell. My air con is nice and crisp and no more musty scent which is good.

Whilst the glove box was out I decided to unplug the headlight level ecu as I've been having some issues as of late, not sure if somebody has been at it before because the outer edges just snapped off as soon as I gave it a good tug.

Up next was a good clean, I work on the same site as a quarry and my car gets covered in dust. I've just had a full paint correction on her so I need to keep on top of it now.

Dusty....

After a pre-rinse I applied a nice thick coat of auto finesse avalanche snow foam

Let it stand for 5-6 mins.....

Then a rinse and a quick application of iron out on my wheels....

Up next was a good wash with the 2 bucket method using meguiars grit guard buckets and a fresh lambswool mitt along with some turtle wax max power shampoo. A quick dry with some micro fibre towels and then a quick detail with some auto finesse glisten spray wax,i really rate this stuff-it's easy to use, doesn't take ages to buff off and you can use it on all surfaces.i did all my windows with it along with my headlights and all plastic areas and it smells truly awesome aswell.

Here's the finished look, gleaming all over........

Anybody else got this shadow writing on their upper rear spoiler?

Next up is a set of decent mudflaps, thinking black with pink sti logo. Don't really like these blue ones, looking at the scoobyworld ones seem decent enough to me.

Also thinking about a set of gt headers and 3 inch center pipe which would mean a new rear box so would probably go with the afterburner raptor as I love the sound

dropping the car off to thwaites tomorrow, mark will be using the car for a few days to investigate a poor idling issue which happens every now and then when the revs drop.

also having new spark plugs and a full underseal as i need the car off the driveway for a week whilst i have a of work done on my back garden.

its been a few months now since i had my oil catch can set up fitted by paul finch, happy to report that there is hardly anything in it.

so i have got the car back from thwaites, it has had new plugs, new air-con belt and power steering belt.

it was meant to get under-sealed but mark has said that alot of the brackets/hangers etc under the car are showing alot of surface corrosion so without taking everything off it cant be done properly.

ideally next year i will get everything off the car from under-neath and have it all powder-coated and have the bare chassis under-sealed.

next up now is either send off all my brembos for a full re-furb and colour change by godspeed OR look out for a set of ap racing calipers and just refurb the rears to match, unless a porsche set-up comes up for sale as thats what i would ideally like.

also the car has a really bad hunting idle problem which doesnt happen all the time but its very annoying when it does happen.

could cleaning out the idle control valve help?
