Just bought a new SWRD Colossus 290LPH for my wagon, also came with fitting kit with 3 different filters. Looks like a really good bit of kit, hoping to fit tomorrow since I have a day off work. Am I right in thinking that the fuel pressure regulator is part of the assembly inside the fuel tank on a 2003 WRX wagon? Not had it apart yet to have a look.

Fuel pressure regulator is normally mounted under the inlet manifold on the engine.

Any idea what the part marked with question marks on the pictures on page 5 of the guide is?

im assuming you are talking about the strainer gauze that fits on the bottom of the pump and not the actual fuel filter - as a 08 onwards fuel filter looks like this

That does look like a FPF of some sort. Not seen one in this location before. I suspect yours won't have this one in the tank.

Have to wait and see I guess! If it's there, probably best to just leave it I suppose and not replace with the new hose that came with the kit. No big deal.

Great write up if you've never done it before!. I know that's for a 2004 wrx. But is similar for a 2008 hatch ?.

This is for a 2011 hatch WRX. North American, but I'd imagine it's similar.

Cheers mate . I've bought a new filter so hopefully that one will give me information on how the filter fits on as it's part of the same unit apparently.

Hi guys again,

received fuel pump, fitted it, could hear the pump switch on but after turning on ignition my car wouldn't turn over and start. Tried fuel lines and no fuel was coming through. Took it apart to have a look and everything seemed as it should be, tried again and nothing again. Tried a power tester and the pump suction part of it didn't seem strong enough for me when I put my finger over it to push fuel through. So I put the old pump on again and the car fired up again no problem.

any ideas ? I bought a new filter aswell
