Boost cut is when the ecu detects too much boost and pulls it back into to limp mode to protect itself. Don't keep boosting it till its looked at or you could damage the engine.

Looks like he's on the limit of your standard map sensor at 1.6bar then. Unless he re-scaled the existing one which I would have thought he would have done to allow for a different slope. Try the new 4 bar map sensor you've bought and get him to check the boost cut limit on his map.

He made the same mistake with mine and didn't leave enough head room and it was continually cutting out. Very frustrating indeed. He had to map mine again to correct this and it's been a dream ever since.

Yes sounds like it's the same problem bud, it is frustrating, I panicked the first time it did it thinking something had seriously gone wrong! I think it's happened like 3 times now, so if it's the boost cut limit as it's not the edge it shouldn't have damaged the engine at all?

Your issue may be due to the map sensor rather than the map itself as you're running so close to it's limit. Don't worry, I very much doubt it's done damage to the engine. Mine was only mapped to 1.35bar using the original map sensor and it was the boost cut limit threshold was just too close to max boost level and the ECU simply cut all fuel when it detected excess boost. Mine didn't go into limp mode, but remember mine is an older car with a different ECU and different software.

Sure it's something simple. Andrew will sort it for you, just frustrating now that's all.

Yea I'm confident he will do mate, that's centrainly what it feels like with a fuel cut, like hitting a brick wall. Thanks mate, I'll post on here on Tuesday.
