Apple’s 10th-anniversary iPhone range might sport features such as wireless charging, 3D facial recognition and a curved display

Some of those features have been out decades on Android

Has Android had these features for decades? Or are you suffering from 'First' disease where a manufacturer has tacked on some half arsed features so they can shout first!

Wireless charging I can dig, Apple have been working on it for years, their current system works for me so why not. Facial recognition could use improvement and Apple are very good at improving. You can keep a curved display.

Ignoring the fact few people used facial recognition on Android because it was crap

It's a lot better than my car, which calls random people when I ask for directions.

My #1 use for Siri is still "Wake me up in an hour" I'm old and need my afternoon kip.

just back to android with s8+ black
could not resist with ip7 plus what a piece of **** it is-6 weeks and i have enough( idea was to wait for Note 8 or ip8 plus
could not sit with it in the pocket would bend otherwise,
needs front glass cover or will take scratches witihin few days(mine uncovered s6 edge plus had 2 tiny ones after 18 months
screen is awful movies ,Youtube,pictures-so what it has a little better camera-optical zoom where picture on that screen looks terrible- can not belive how crap that IPS is
no notification by a diode about incoming calls , messages etc,
no side clock on the night,
no download folder -could not back to file later needs to be connected to iTunes
connection with TV is way easier on Android then iOS
no quick charge- battery time is ok 9h vs 8h on s8+
needs to spend money on apps where are free on android
i liked touch sensor, network speed- still quicker than mine s8+ in the same areas, and storage twice bigger than mine s8+
siri for what You need it?
stereo speakers are not better than mono on s8+, i think s8+ is louder with the same quality
autofilling and passwords on browser instant on Android ,could not get it to work on iOS (do not say it safe but it does not work properly)
only certificated extensions wtf (i heard samsung did the same with s8 s8+, Usb-C is strange btw plug is big ,much preferred lightning
i was impressed how quick it moved 40gb via cable , shows 1h did it on less than 10min
iphone is like wrx on lpg

Fawor

It would be good to let me know battery life on the Galaxy S8+.

I know the S7edge was fantastic compared to the likes of the Note4.

With the S8+ using 10nM chipset the power savings should of improved again.

Also the fingerprint sensor, is it fast and easy to use. I know the purists/critics were whining of its position. The FPS on my LG is on the back and works great

Fawor, shame you had a bad time, want to sell your iPhone? I'd dispute quite a few of your findings, but that's expected... I have time.

Bending, that can happen with any device, but it's really hard to do with the latest ones, maybe you're a big chap. I bent mine once in 2.5 years, bent it back.
Glass, your new device doesn't have glass any better than the iPhone so expect the same in the same conditions.
Sign up for iCloud and you can have a nice iCloud drive to keep your stuff.
Not sure on the TV thing, mine has a button I press to show stuff on my Samsung TV, works great.
It's good to spend money on Apps, that's how people get paid for their work, same with most things you get what you pay for. You could hunt in the bins out the back of a restaurant for a bite to eat or go in the front door and pay, the grubs the same the experience is very different.

s8+ is 8h vs iphone 9h
s7 edge read it was 7h22m ( found it http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsu...is-out_id92744 )
but look below on recharging test- iphone 7
it is not huge step from s7edge -mainly because screen is bigger ,
strange there are no quick charge 4.0 chargers and pads to buy but heard/read Exynos does not support it
fingerprint sensor should be on the front like in iphone 7- i like it
I touch camera instead almost all the time but just have it 24h,when You find it response is better than in Iphone 7
i downloaded cpu-z and it shows 14nM chip but i think they have old database
s6 edge + was very good, but possibilty of battery life drop and s8 release date i sold it ,and always wish to try iphone but IPS screen push me off and i had right
s6 edge + was slower than ip7 + but in mine opinion s8+ is quick like iphone

i would preffer eat from a front door without pay
bending- i would say how big pockets You have, ip7 plus is to big to seat comfortably in the car with it in the front jeans pocket, like i did it today with s8+
Yes if You need paid apps thats ok but mine where all free on android
i use viber app and on iphone drives me nuts, whatsapp use is the same
i will see what they do with ip8 , need to have amoled (oled will be better)and quick charge
jack glass is way better -it is gorilla 5
Yes is worst on some aspects than 4 and 3 but outperform iphone 7 glass in the possibilty to catch scratches- thats the main point for me, do not care about drop in test (is crap btw , I have seen it) i dropped s4 on concrete and im tring to avoid it now
ok when download pdf file ,ticket etc. will You see it in icloud straight or you need to connect to itunes to move it there?
i have been able to open it but when closing pdf it was no way to find it using phone only- no download folder

You choose to save files to your iCloud drive then it's there for you not only on your machine but on all your devices.

I don't think any big phone is 'very' bendy any more, they all upped their game in that department. But everything has limits.

Yes i remember it asked about where to store it,
but sometimes You have no network date coverage, it is on the phone why not make things simply
maybe not but i could not sit in the car with iphone in the pocket , always had it in the hand
when wrote a message and I hit wrong letter and i wish to delete it, i had to delete every letter after that one,
when i hit a screen in the middle of the word 10 times, maybe once cursor was before that letter usually stayed at the end
few apps close themself when using and it freeze sometimes-example
browsing on safari , did not touch a screen and is going to be darker , i hit screen and again again - nothing , needed to switch off screen and On again than it works.

i preffer Android at a minute, it is fast like iOS now but im faster on it if that makes sense

That is why I cancelled my Dropbox account and bought several 132gb cards. Memory costs are cheap enough to dismiss cloud as useful

Really, not having to carry a card, useful. Having a single point of storage over multiple devices, useful. Being able to share files, useful. I see where you're coming from but personally I choose both.

They are a business and you are using a service, of course they should be able to charge for it. Nice that they offer a free tier though.

Yes but they sell it with big storage 128/256gb and i just need download folder,
i just do not need to see files on other devices where s8+ offer Big best screen with fastest OS on the market right now
is not about fingers it is about system , do not let me delete what i wish
do crash and freezing i expect to be stable but it is like windows
I would not put sd again to Samsung, it crash cards no idea how but had only problems in the past with s4
64gb is enough ,will see in September what apple does with IPhone 8 and Samsung with Note 8

You get 5 or 10 gig for free with iCloud. Fine for a few downloads and some docs.
