'GAV The Bad Subaru Driver' - Silver Blob North East

I know the highway code, and passing on the left is fine, AS LONG AS YOU DON'T BREAK THE SPEED LIMIT.
If he had stuck to the speed limit it wouldn't have happened!
I had moved over to let the white lorry join the main carriageway, I passed the black van that was braking in lane 2 and moved back to lane 2, pass the lorry and into lane 1. I checked my mirror and it was safe to change lanes, indicated and started changing lanes. I saw something blue out of the corner of my eye, I looked left and he came passed me glaring at me. He was doing 60+, I pulled in behind him and he backed off and slowed down slightly (hence I look like I'm shoving him).

You should have been in before the lorry not waiting until the end of the filter lane to cut in to a space that someone was already in.... Rather than rushing to pass the lorry of you had pulled in behind you could have been up the inside of him legally in the filter lane, and totally avoided all this....
Doesnt matter what speed he was doing, you have a duty as a road user to allow for other peoples actions and reactions. I failed a drovong test because I pulled out and someone who was speedong had to slow down. The DSA examiner pointed out that I should have let him go then make my manouver, even though if he was not speeding I had miles of room.
Do you walk round morrisons and when an old codger walks infront of you do you tell him he is a ******? I doubt it. So why feel the need to do it on the road? Let the guy go rather than aggravate him, like I said, its a direct result of your action that this happened, you could have just let him go...

Merge in turn is a strange concept to alot of people.... and the end of the lane ks where you merge in turn. Not 3/4 of a mile back!

A1 south
The first part of the video is on the A1 southbound near the 'Angel of the North' well signposted 3 lanes to 2 lanes, 300 yard clearly marked. 'GAV' has totally ignored at least 3 signs (like Audi RS4 driver I have seen do exactly the same) and ended up where he is. Obviously self important idiot who doesn't care about anyone but himself. BUT this is quite a famous accident black-spot someone was killed on this part of the A1 a year or so ago - when they were also racing.
Knowing the traffic (and travelling the road ever day) the camera car needs to be doing something illegal to catch up the GAV for the second sequence.
Second undertaking situation - you can pass on the inside if less than the speed limit and you do not shift lanes specifically to carry out the manoeuvre.
Basically both drivers will be driving like idiots 1)GAV to be filmed and the camera car to keep up.

Wow, that is really not worthy of the hype. If you spend a fair amount of time on the road you see driving worse than that all the time. I see cars doing his first maneuver at least several times a week on a bypass by me.

Standard driving technique here in France... they have no patience ;-) if you can't overtake in less than 10m, go for the undertake and f' the rest of you!
