Great stuff, thanks.

Centre Gravity is a bit far for me so am planning to take the car to Jaz Porsche in Herts to fine tune the alignment.

Cheers

Ive got a Porsche itch that I'm dying to scratch, cant really afford a brand new 911 so ive been looking at the Cayman S. Only thing is it would mean the wifes 500 Abarth would be the practical family car

Mine isn't brand new btw.

The Cayman is a beautifully balanced car, in many ways it steers better than a 911.

Spent some meaningful time with the car now and must say I am very impressed.

It's a strange beast, if you drive it gently you'd never get a hint of what it's capable of. This is due in a large part to the fantastically judged suspension which makes the car ride so comfortably that you think it's just a regular car.

Then when you drive it hard and lean on it the thing just responds and comes alive. You just need the confidence to ask it to perform and it will deliver. I think this might be down to the (oft maligned) PDCC which will stiffen the ARBs (and ? dynamic engine mounts) when it detects that the car is being driven hard.

The traction is also pretty amazing. It manages to put down all of it's 560 BHP even in wet conditions. Mash the pedal and you'll feel the front wheels sqirm and the front of the car move around a bit until the computers quickly sort it out and off you go.

And to top it all off the interior is a lovely place to be in and the Burmester sound system fantastic.

All in all a great car that I love driving!

Nice

Now you just need to get a Cobb Tuning Access Port to release some extra horses and torques Ive just got one for my Macan Turbo and i'm seriously impressed. It just brings the car alive and to where it should be. Ive just downloaded another new map today and flashed the ECU and I seriously think it would be faster than my GT3 in the real world. They say its around 475bhp now

I do like the Macan, a gorgeous looking car

I'm too scared about warranty issues to tune the car. As it stands I'm more than happy to cane the car when the situation is appropriate safe in the knowledge that if the engine or gearbox ****s itself I'm covered.

If I had it tuned I'd always be worried that if something happened I'd be looking at a bill running into tens of thousands

Funny how there were never any pics of this on the OP's driveway. Of course, now it's been knicked ...

Why is it funny there were never any driveway pics?

And am I the only one who thinks it's more than a little insensitive reminding the fella that his car's been nicked? You might as well have ended your post with a and a .

A totally unnecessary post!

Unnecessary, if the entire point I'm making is that there might be some question as to whether the porker in the pics ever left the showroom? I think not.

Eh? Are you being serious? Why would you say such a thing?

I never had you down as the kind of person who would post something like that.

Anyway, you seem quite sure of yourself. Are you happy to put your money where your mouth is? If I prove beyond any reasonable doubt, as judged right here by the SN massive, that I do indeed own the car, will you make a contribution to a charity of my choice? Nothing too much, lets say £500.

Let me know if you are prepared to back up what you post

Not sure how you or anyone else would get "very sure" out of what I posted, which was clearly more of a vague postulation than a confident assertion. If you really own(ed) the car, good for you, and genuinely sorry that you've fallen victim to a crew of bottom-feeding oxygen thieves.

Really?

Mark you said this

Funny how there were never any pics of this on the OP's driveway. Of course, now it's been knicked ...

and this

Unnecessary, if the entire point I'm making is that there might be some question as to whether the porker in the pics ever left the showroom? I think not.

And now you're saying it was a vague postulation? You've clearly accused me of being a liar, and a massive liar at that.

My offer stands. Put your money where your mouth is. I'll better it, I'll match the £500 to charity and prove it if you pay it as well.

If you can find me three distinguished professors of the English language who agree that the phrase "there might be some question about" would be more accurately described as a confident assertion than a vague postulation, the monkey's yours. Otherwise, you can go and whistle

Mark, what made you feel strongly enough to post on this thread that I might have lied about purchasing the car, my feedback on the car and that the car was subsequently stolen.

I'm genuinely curious.
