Will fit tomorrow, very simple job.

One Q: the (unfitted) dampers don't budge whatsoever when pushing them against the floor, with a straight down, vertical force vector! Is this normal?

 

Maybe you need the gym

There are quite stiff i think, sure i tried to compress one for the boot once.

 

Seriously, I'm putting a decent amount of force in - as much as I can (given how awkward it is to hold them so as to prevent slipping, etc.)

I can't believe this is normal i.e. I can't believe they'll actually compress when installed?!?!

 

Epic fail.

...I was holding the larger, outer 'reservoir' end whist pushing.

Turned it around 180 degrees, so was holding the thinner, inner damper rod, and they work beautifully lol.

(I didn't realise it would actually make any difference. )

 

Mine arrived the other day thanks!

Will be installing next weekend.
