Also the STi is vastly superior in presence and looks to your RS3

I think they will hold there value over the next few years, far better than the Subaru, AMG, and the RS3
I like all these cars mentioned btw, I went for the new RS just for its value for money and the fact it's such a rare car/hard to get, still around a 12 month waiting list for a new one unlesss routers are correct and they have sold out now ??

As bio father says, I thought the same at first, a bit "overhyped" but now I have got used to it I love it, the fun you can have and the handling is like nothing else I have owned, next level to scoobs.
And I quite like the looks 😊

They aren't rare. I've probably seen 4 drive around my town in the last 2 weeks, and funnily enough in that some colour

You can pick up 66 plate ones fairly easily from 3rd parties, like RS Direct, at a premium of course 34-36K is their usual run rate. They usually have the nicer options included like the RS shell seats, sync3, winter/lux pack etc. I like the nitrous blue, in the flesh it is a lovely colour and not the gas van blue everyone trolls it for. The magnetic grey would be my choice though.

What... three posts over several hours.

Perhaps it's RS3 envy.

i was tempted but one in the usa caught fire due to an electrical issue and they seem to have drive train over heating issues if pushed hard , they suggest no further tuning mods as the drive train is only rated for what it's doing now , do i still like the car yes , will it be a classic i don't think so , if i did go down the lines of buying one i wound wait at least a year on top of the ford waiting list to allow the issues to be sorted , i heard there was a recall which was kept on the quiet by ford too , shame it was not fully sorted before being sold , still looks like a capable car for not too bad a price

Sure I read somewhere Ford are looking into this and an upgraded rear diff cooler maybe on the cards.

That only happens if its in drift mode and you are absolutely canning the nuts off it sideways on a track for long periods. So unlikely to happen in normal road conditions at all if ever. I've read a couple of reports of the rear diff turning off due to it overheating and they have all been on track with a journalist ragging the t1ts off it.

Great thread showing how it is to own and run,

Not too keen on the 4wd system at all,

and its tiny rear diff :O one of many reasons it's not for me

Yea i know and yet you see vids of it on trackdays all over utube with no issues at all. In one of the links i read the journo was doughnutting it at low speeds for hours without issue too, but had a warning and cutoff at higher speeds (3rd/4th gear drifting from corner to corner).

But for the majority of owners who will never go near a track it'll be fine.

Usual internet/forum horror stories blown out of proportion

Looks pretty open and honest to me ?

Did you bother to read it all ?

Just wasn't impressed by it,

This isn't a press car, (Which are renound for being tampered with)

http://jalopnik.com/5760248/how-ferrari-spins

Taken from Jalopnik article,

I imagine they are all at it,

"I honestly don't know where to start. Perhaps the 360 Modena press car that was two seconds faster to 100mph than the customer car we also tested. You allow some leeway for "factory fresh" machines, but this thing was ludicrously quick and sounded more like Schumacher's weekend wheels than a street car."

It looks like an actual owners car.

Most independant tests i find don't rate it on track,

Of course those magazines filled with Ford ad's will praise it to death,

Along with Shmee150 who praised it that much online he got offered a new GT.

Call me cynical but anytime i read a magazine or professional journalist story i take with pinch of salt,

Can't slate the newest Ferrari in public and expect them to let you drive the next one....

Yes i read it, but I wasn't referring to your link i meant in general, how do you explain all the instances i mention where the owners have seen no issues at all on track?

Burton's GT order had absolutely nothing to do with him buying the RS, if you watch one of his vids he explains it quite clearly that the GT order process was started and accepted by Ford way before he got the RS.

And you believe that,

When they refused Salomondrin ??

Prob because Salomondrin doesnt have to please the manufacturers,

Again perhaps im too cynical, but most definetly marketing at it's finest.

Yea i believe it coz he was getting slated for getting the GT on order, that's why he put the vid up, if its bull on his part then hes a bloody good actor

Of course he is known for reviewing new cars, so i guess Ford gave him preferential treatment for that alone, but not for buying an RS, that's just daft.

Yes because the public could see straight through it all lol,

His RS must be one of the most viewed and his coverage of it must have earned them a few sales,

You really think he drives it because he is bored of his 675LT or Ferrari FF ??

Only one reason he bought it if you ask me

Answer this ??

If he publicly slated the RS do you think for a minute he would have got a GT ??

Known for praising new cars you mean..

Show me a video where he gives a car a bad review ??

He has to play nice as he is only starting out as a journo...

Never a bad word to say about any of the cars he drives.

Anyhow the vorshlag link show how cheap they went in designing the RS for me it's a dissapointment for the cost of it theres far too many parts been skimped on

Irrelevant, he's made it pretty clear he loves the RS. If he bought it just to get the GT then why is he modding the RS? Surely now he has the GT on order he would get rid of the RS?

lol how could you get bored of the 675LT or FF, which he drives just as much? He bought the RS as another daily.

Yes you are a massive cynic

Just like TheSmokingTyre who got all his Mountune kit for free lol.

Wonder why it's free ??

Do you think he will complain about any of his "free" mods ?

or do you reckon he will say mountune totally changed car and well worth the price he didn't pay lolol.

DUB where he is in most episodes, i doubt it very much,

Cost DUB alot more to advertise and reach the audience than it does to throw some toys at shmee lol

Again more marketing B/S

SmokingTyre best example all free mountune kit like i says they wont say a bad word when it suits them and the reap the benefits mutually
