Whoever the next manager is it will be the newspapers who decide if he stays as manager or not. If the new manager doesn't fit then the press will just dig up some past misdemeanour after a bad result and we will be at the same point again.

It's probably best that the FA ask the newspapers who they want.

I had the Henderson debate lastnight on Facebook when I posted this comment.

Henderson captain for tonight's game just goes to show the state of the national side.....An average player at best who rarely passes forward and doesn't have a creative pass in his locker....Shocking decision.

My Liverpool fan mates jumped to his defence and still defended him whilst he was giving the ball away all night.......A team that houses Henderson and Dyer in the midfield isn't going to score goals. Gareth no personality Southgate should call it a day after just one game IMO otherwise he'll be staring in another Pizza Hut advert!

From this point on, I'd like to announce my retirement from watching International football..

 

pay them minimum wage topped up by a win bonus.

 

They shouldn't even be paid for playing for their country it should be a privilege and for pride then we'd see who really wanted to play for the team.

I stand by my opinion that the only way forward is a foreign manager with attack minded football who has proven managerial experience at the top level. If the Premiership players carry on being so utterly useless then start bringing in the best Championship players who will want to play out of their skins to get recognition.

 

The problem is the media, they kill Engerland, they expect toooo much, they'll never win another tournament, other teams have more desire, passion, ability and skill
The amount of foreign players in the UK doesn't help, mind you without them the game here (EPL) would be as bad as Ligue 1 in France

We don't have the youth coming through in the droves they did years ago, kids would rather play COD, FIFA manager etc etc than go out and kick a ball all night, no chance of them even stepping outside the house if there's the slightest chance of rain
I'm afraid England will follow Scotland and become also rans in modern day football, occassional tournament qualifiers (very for Scotland)

The ones laughing all the way to the banks are the average players and managers who get on the merry go round, jobs for the boys club with the over inflated wages
