Top Gear?! No thread about tonight's show?
Chris Harris is the best presenter on Top Gear by far. Next series it should be Matt, Chris, and the young Black lad (can't remember his name). Sack the rest
Cut out the silly challenges (as that was the Clarkson/Hammond/May thing) and get reviewing cars.

how many episodes are we in now ?
any better ?
only watched the first two on iplayer out of curiosity , 1st was appalling and wanted me to punch whiny Evans in the mouth, second was slightly better. Since then have found other stuff to do and Sunday evenings are a different viewing experience these days. Lets hope the Grand Tour delivers

Think it ok really , as long as evans doesn't attempt to be the central character / Clarkson
the other contributions are just as good as the threes stooges , with out the bollox so much ( whether that's good or bad ,donno)
prob another three episodes on past form

I think there was supposed to be 10, but that got reduced to 6 because they were falling behind with the filming schedule (apparently the reason for the producer falling out with Evans and leaving) so next weeks episode is the last in the series.
Chris Harris is the man, his videos on youtube are some of the best on the IMO
He is one of the few honest journos who openly criticise,
Check out how he got banned from driving ferraris
Saying how the customer cars are nothing like the ones the factory provide

You'd have thought after the Argentina/Falklands mess up with the 928 they'd have put a fake plate on it.
Apart from a suffix "T" plate shouldn't be on a black background either, so its illegal, even with a legit plate.
(My dad lost his licence by driving about with such a no.plate....ok he had a few to drink, but the reason why plod stopped him was the Black/silver plates on his T-reg XJ6
)
Depends what you want from a driving experience really. If you want to get all adenoidal and tell everyone about how you managed a perfectly executed heel 'n toe downshift, then manual is for you. If you want to get from A to B as fast as possible then you really want a decent paddle shift.

BBC TV and radio presenter Chris Evans has announced he is stepping down from Top Gear.
He tweeted: "Stepping down from Top Gear. Gave it my best shot but sometimes that's not enough."
"The team are beyond brilliant, I wish them all the best," he added.
He said he would continue with his other BBC commitments, including presenting the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show.
"Full steam ahead then with Radio 2, CarFest, Children In Need, 500 Words and whatever else we can dream up in the future," he said.

2 big resignations today. Maybe they're connected?
Evans to be new leader of UKIP, Farage to present Top Gear ?
