Yes and no. I pick it up Saturday, it will be the second one I have owned (first one in the picture). My initial request was the white saloon MY04 but the WR came up with some nice STi additions and I was smitten again.

I've not seen another hawk in the flesh since buying mine a month ago. Saw a blob STI today and the guy thumbed me though which was nice. He might have been a predatory homosexual out for some sweet *** though. Hard to be sure.

I was talking to a guy who owns a White Bug STi Type UK. Rare but he's ****ing it to oblivion after having a look at it.

The Legacy Turbos are a rare car. I very rarely spot another one and if I do it's a non turbo driven by someone who couldn't care less.

Shame to read about so many bug STI's being broken, especially as I was looking for one recently to replace my bug WRX.

The Prodrive versions are especially nice... (and impossible to find)

I still have my old back seats and airbox etc in my garage - not that i'd want to go back! money is money but a fast scooby is such a buzz... (my opinion). Theres very few alternatives where you can get as much bang for your buck

I drove from Mold near Chester all the way back down the M6 and M5 to Torquay some 280 miles when I picked up my Type UK Widetrack from Revitupuk and not one other Impreza spotted.... A few Focus RS's but no STI's

Mind you the car got plenty of looks and thumbs up from some drivers which was nice....

It took me a few months to find one when I was looking last year but it was definitely worth the wait

The problem is, people only seem to want the widetracks. You see person after person looking for one, but no-one wants the older stuff. I've had my bugeye STI for twelve years, and the price bottomed out five years ago or more. It's not going up though, the true sign of rarity and desirability. But that doesn't stop people trying to sell them for silly money.

Your 430bhp STI was probably doing 20mpg and 12.8 on the drag strip because your brakes were stuck on.

STI 25mpg
Spec C 28mpg
WRX 30mpg
WRX 40mpg (rural)

Official figures, can be improved upon with a few lightweight measures and mapping. Can be exacerbated by engine wear, poor tune or heavy right foot.

You're honest in saying you did a 12.8, but you claimed it was with OE power levels, then said this at a later date...

you need over 400 bhp to get into the 12's in an impreza.
The 20mpg is also a lie.

Have you and BPR got a contract with Ford or something?

Every other post in unrelated threads, "poverty spec, chocolate pistons, chav cars, 20mpg (or 24mpg)."

Very tiresome lads. Both cars are great imo and I can't fathom why admin let you both get away with running them and their owners down.

Christ man! I'm not going to take your trolling bait sorry. I don't own a ford. I own 2x subarus (WRX and STI) and 2 other non-ford cars. I've never mentioned ford once, you can search through my posting history all you like. I'm just pointing out the MANY MANY errors in your constant tiresome posts that previously had you banned from this site.

Now give it a rest please, for your sake and everyone else's on this site.

I'm not suggesting you own a Ford or Jeremy Clarkson owns an Alfa Romeo. ...there just has to be a reason you and your stable mate are so anti-Subaru.

Tommy has sold up, been banned several times and still comes back to lament Imprezas. Don't become him mate.

When have I ever said I was anti-Subaru you blithering idiot?

I have owned them for the last 10 years and loved them, hence I bought another one recently to expand my garage!

You really are an odd bloke.

I'm objecting to your posts that just seem to say the same thing over and over and over and over again every time without a single strand of supporting evidence.

But Tommy claims he did a 12.8 in his own words, and that 12's can't be achieved with under 400bhp.

11-08-2012 - http://www.lancerregister.com/showth...88#post4570288

25-02-2013 - https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...l#post11004468

I'm sure you can do the maths BPR.

12.8 is not possible in a 261bhp Newage STI with a passenger. Tommy has no credibility what so ever and you need to seek a better role model

I've been reporting them for a while banny, but this site is rather un-moderated now and they fall on deaf ears most of the time. Eventually someone will listen with any luck.

Role model he ain't, but he certainly spouts less b******s than you do fella.

The big difference being Tubs as actually done and tried it rather than just basing his comments on wild theories and randomly generated figures like you do.

Secondly, Tubs is helpful when asked!

Yes, I've never drag raced. Probably never will, "it bores me."

Have you given Tom your password? lol.

Who said that then? Get your facts straight before you start making more wild trolling statements.

Every thread you're involved in turns this way. Very disappointing and not great for this site. Please calm your comments down and THINK before you post.
