There was a thread a while back asking for owners of blue/black Prodrive Bug Stis to come forward. There were fewer than 50 IIRC.

The funny thing is the new cars are basically mechanically identical.
Hence why nobody buys them.

Id say so for sure.

Look at an Impreza in the midst of the dire silver/black/white economy lease cars

There's barely any there.

I think anything low mileage and in standard form, pre-hatch, will only go up in price. It's tough finding anything standard these days, let alone low mileage examples.

I sold my immaculate Blob STI for £7.5K in 2010. To get something in similar condition and miles would cost at least £10K now, And that's for a car 6 years older! Like others have said, well looked after examples are becoming rare and will only rise in value

Very rare that there is any Subaru on the roads where I live
8-13 years ago they were very popular and an "in " car to own
The chavs ruined them and now they are broken up or wrote off

My refurbished Greenwagon turns heads now

i have a jdm sti hawkeye a line and have refrained from heavily modifying it due to its rare, there is only two others that I know of in hawkeye shape, ok it's not a s204 or spec c ect but it's more than just a jdm sti too IMO nice to be rare even more so limited or special additions!!
Any excuse for a pic lol

Quality post, well written by someone who it seems is always trying to be the tallest dwarf

The most popular thread on Scoobynet is about which type of car? Can't think why some members are put off posting.....

well done windscreen douche !

Had to use mine today and it absolutely flys. Had a few routine servicing replacements and it just feels awesome. My 555 is arriving Saturday been in a lockup for a while. Looking forward to taking Tom out for a blast in the cars when he drops it off

33k miles FTW

Rare, not really, but in this condition and mileage, probably

Will a RA-R be a future classic like a 22B?

I've been on a long drive, saw 4 impreza's. Don't see the point of breaking, if the car has low miles and good condition. I've seen people sell there impreza's then a dealer buys them and relist for over double the price. Once you have paid wages, hassle of storing parts in some kind of fling system, removed, packed up, posted. So much easier to sell a car on. Don't know why breakers don't do that with the nice ones they get.

Just go on a breaker's site and do the maths. Engine and 6 speed box alone c.£3k, and sadly most early newage cars will fetch far more in bits than in one piece.
