He did actually reply to me this morning letting me know he is sorting a date he can make for this.

I've got to give him a change to get it right. Hopefully on the home straight now with a little light at the end of the tunnel. I'm trying to be as patient as I can.

Hard reading this BPR, can be extremely frustrating but I can't help feeling it should have been fixed before now by them.

Many thanks. Yep I do completely agree, this should have been fixed a long time ago.

I'll give anyone some time and an opportunity to fix their problems as nobody is perfect. There is always a bad story to go with the many success & good stories of services supplied by reputable traders. Andrew came highly recommended so I'm hopeful that I will be happy with the results and be able to enjoy the car at the end of this bumpy road.

If not, I'll be getting a full refund and getting someone else to sort it! We'll cross that road when we get there, which I hope we don't.

Another 2 weeks have passed since I was offered a Saturday to sort the Forester out. 2 of the dates that I offered Andrew have now passed too and another that's now been booked up because I've waited so long for a reply. Still nothing from Andrew so I've now sent him an email asking for a full refund so I can go elsewhere.

Enough is enough. This problem is now in it's 3rd month and I've been very patient waiting for resolution, not to mention how much it's cost me in time & money to do data collecting for Andrew.

I await his reply.

Nope. I've said it before; everyone can make mistakes, it's how you deal with them and rectify them that matters. In this case I feel very let down having given way more than a fair chance to fix this.

Get your car sorted first pal locally, worry bout refunds later you've spent more on steering wheels

LOL. Drove past yours last night. Surprised you didn't hear me!

Well.... I emailed Andrew on the 6th telling him enough was enough and as more time had passed unanswered I just wanted a refund so I could start again with another mapper. Low and behold he replied to me 2 days later offering me a date at the end of the month.

So currently I'm waiting for the 29th October so I can drive all the way back up to Pole Position early morning and have Andrew spend a morning remapping my car... again. He's got a flight in the afternoon so I hope he doesn't rush things like he did last time. Will see how it goes on the day and ensure that he does all the jobs he forgot and didn't have time for last attempt.

I'll give him 1 last chance to get it right and sort it out. We'll see.

After that if I'm not 110% happy, then I'll be getting a refund one way or another.

Fingers crossed.

Nope, not really. I've given him WAY more chances than I should have done. I want it fixed. Even if he fixes it I won't ever use him again.

Well Andrew emailed me back this morning answering a few of my questions and arranging Saturday. I'll be meeting him up at Pole Position at 9am for him to have another go on my car. He'll resolve the speed limiter and boost cutting issues and fully remap for me.

He's also confirmed that my Foz is running an early 32bit DBW ECU which means that a lot of features like anti-slag, flat shifting and probably maff-less just aren't possible. Shame, but I'll survive. So long as it's running right after this.

Roll on Saturday!

Thanks mate. I'm still driving the car daily and still enjoying it. Just can't put my foot down for fear of it cutting out, which is a little annoying to say the least. Hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel now.

Will let you know how it goes.

Well I'm delighted to say that this story finally has a good ending.

I contacted Andrew again last week to ask a few questions again about what was possible and to go over what was to be done on the day. He sent a very helpful reply explaining what could and couldn't be done, so we agreed to meet at 9am at Pole Position yesterday and all was good to go.

I got there at 8.30 yesterday and Andrew turned up a few minutes after I did. Pole Position didn't actually open yesterday, which wasn't a problem as I was only there to see Andrew. He couldn't have been more apologetic or helpful yesterday. Was really nice to actually get a chance to chat to him properly, discuss the car, options and things in general without him feeling hassled by a busy schedule. (Although he was supposed to be flying off on holiday at 3pm yesterday). lol.

He's done a great job on the car now. Checked everything over and remapped it again but ensuring the boost cut limit is raised. No cuts to date and he's squeezed out more power than he managed last time. It's like night and day compared to how it was before. To say I'm pleased is an understatement. Got there in the end thankfully.

The car is now the car I always wanted it to be. Such a pleasure to drive. Quite honestly couldn't be happier with it now.

Thank god!!!!!

Was road mapped, so don't have exact figures. My figures from the 1st map were around 340bhp when it wasn't running right, it's certainly making more now. When I get a chance I'll do some logging and runs to get a graph and work it out.

Great news for you and the reputation of the mapper, the good mappers are hard to get hold of but like you have said,it shows they are good at what they do when even when there are problems that they will sort them out.
Thumbs up for a happy customer
