Looks like one of our traders does not take care of our cars when test driving!
I've often found it takes two to tango when it comes to arguments about facts.
There is a situation called "Stuff your lawnmower" It occurs when somebody wants to mow their lawn, but their mower is bust. They then think "I'll borrow one from Fred next door" Then they think "But what if Fred won't lend it?" and then they think "Well, that's not on, look at all the things I've done for him!" and then they march next door, go up to Fred and say "Stuff your lawnmower!"
In other words, don't always assume that people are against you or not willing to listen. I wasn't there while the "spat" was going on, and have no knowledge of the tone used, but I have certainly come across people who have practically spat in my face before the conversation even begins.
There's another situation, it's called "You get more Bees with honey".

with the words crook etc being banded around let's try a little pricing exercise,
would all people who have ever had a clutch changed on a subaru by a expert company please post up the cost and who changed it, let's see who charges a fair n square price and who takes's us dry, only intertested in the labour charge not the cost of the clutch as there is to many variables . i will start the ball rolling with
£120.00 changed by a garage that prep's rally cars

having never used them i have no idea,
the object of the exercise was to prove us as customers perception of companies, ie christ they are dear but they are specialist's and they do have large overheads, or as in my case damn they are good after all they prep gp4 escorts for a living, but only charged me £40 per hour labour

Wee reality check here.. If I didnt do my own bits, and I was close to SC, I'd go there still. Think after this, no matter the reaction or how it was handled it won't happen again. Getting well draged out now
Really? He deserves nothing of the sort, he's the customer. After seeing and hearing the footage he was quite in his right to give it some attitude imo. Not that we know that's the case anyway.
I would have not taken 'the boss is busy' excuse either I'd have waited there until he'd viewed the video and sorted the situation there and then. Maybe this is what the OP should have done?
I agree that would have been ideal but it appears people were taking defensive positions so the outcome may have been the same.
"The 2 mechanics, myself, the owner and the bodyshop manager then returned to the car to inspect the damage"
" At that point the valeter asked if he could block the car in as he was wanting to move another car out"
"Ben asked to speak to the owner, i advised he may be busy on the phone but i would go check"
"Kev came out to speak to Ben, but he was at the far end of the car park, so the valeter was asked to take him his keys"
These are all quotes from Dan's (scoobyclinic employee) post earlier in the thread.
Now if I was the Ben (the vehicle owner) I would of felt slightly intimidated by the above. Having four clinic employees around me and my car all disagreeing with my opinion, and then to have my car blocked in !!! Seriously.... is that really the way things should of been handled that day.
But the biggest thing here is that Ben did ask to see the boss but was told he was busy. Maybe if Kev had made the effort to see a disgruntled customer there and then he would of been shown the footage and could of dealt with it. Instead, Kev decided he didn't want to walk across the car park so asked another employee to walk over and give the owner his keys back.
It wasn't Kev's fault that the car was mistreated but he handled the situation very poorly that day, and no doubt he realised that afterwards.
What's done is done, people will still use the clinic because in reality, they do decent work and sell decent products. The OP has moved on so maybe it's time the thread was closed.

There's a lot written about influencing people, very rarely will you find giving it the big man attitude is ever suggested as the way to get what you want.
Just had a look at his profile, last active today at 5.11pm.
Surely if he is banned, admin should block his account/IP address?
Don't see the problem with trinity myself he's given out good advice over the years and knows his stuff, yeah he can dribble on but he's not the only one on here.
This threads about scoobyclinic scumbags lets keep it that way

maybe these Scoobyclinic fan boys just dont want to admit they've been stupid spending thousands of their own hard earned, for sub standard work.
Ive heard it a million times, engine built by the clinic, rod went through the block.
