If he had an sti with more weight and slower acceleration he wouldn't of crashed.
It's because of the blistering 0-60 time that's caught him out and caused the crash.

Well, depending on which news story you want to believe, Walter is either on the run from the law, in police custody, in hospital, or he just doesn't want to talk to us any more.
Walter, if you're reading this, I'm sure we'd all be interested to hear an update. Did you take the car to a specialist?

... As already pointed out, this bit was just inspired:
Ethel McEtherington, a white-perm-haired pensioner, originally from Govan, said: "I was going for a B-road blast a few weeks ago in my Corsa, when I spotted Walter in his Spec C in my rear-view mirror. I wasn't particularly hooning it, but he seemed to really be struggling to keep up with me, especially through the twisties. I knew there must be something wrong with his car - maybe a problem with his diff."

Why thank you, kind sir! But unfortunately I can't take any credit. I merely copied and pasted it from a newspaper's website... honest!

so... got new steering rack. and problem is still 100% there. expected nothing less.
the steering was tighter for a few days, but i could feel the main problem was definitely still there. i had the steering "tightened" (whatever that entails) a few times before and it always worked itself loose within a few days in exactly the same way.
so, what now?
what did the mechanic do to "tighten" the steering up (even though it only lasts a few days)

i'd scrap it myself with a sledgehammer but i still need to buy another car with money i don't have.
can't help but think the solution may well be something costing £100, but instead i need to scrap a spec C because the mechanic can't find the problem.
a problem obviously exists. i should just pour thousands down the drain?

so what happens when my next car develops a steering problem? bin that too?
my old car had this type of steering problem too actually - which is the reason i got rid of THAT car too... if you can believe this... so i'd like to get to the ****ing bottom of this!
the most tragic thing is, if i scrap this spec C i will be looking to get another scooby - which no doubt will be heavier and slower
