First world problem - what car should I get?

Yeah, surprised in a good way.
I had a CLK55 for about 18months.
Fuel - I wouldn't say it was much more than the 330S I had previously if driven half sensibly.
Equally on the other hand, if you really horsed it on, I'd seen it showing up 7MPG
Was serviced at a specialist, standard service was about £150 from memory.
It ate rear tyres for fun. It was on its 5th set when I sold it!
That's the worst thing I could say.
Electrics - can't really say anything about mine (it was 2004)
Only bad thing I'm really aware of is the dash clicking - its to do with the automatic climate control.
If one of those faults develop, then it could be costly enough depending on where it breaks.
I replaced the CLK55 with a C63 a few months ago, and the 55 is away to its new owner

Dying breed that; I doubt the new RS will have a 5pot engine, or certainly not one with a proper manual 'box. Which is the best bit about the entire car.
Boot was to shallow for me to consider one
If the exhaust is like the R32...do the flapper mod (remove vacuum pipe from exhaust actuator and plug it- flap stays open then )

PQ35 platform, so more of a glorified Golf/Leon/Octavia/A3. But with much better quality suspension bits (using Audi TT alloy lower wishbones that have adjustable camber is a common mod for Golfs/Leons which use pressed steel wishbones that have fixed camber).
And the "new" Beetle always uses the older platform (Beetle was PQ34 upto 2011...which is basically a MKIV Golf that dates back to 1997).
Other than that....carry on...

If I could afford £23k it would have been a C63 AMG
