I have the honour of being possibly the only person to have sunk at sea one of her majesty`s one ton landrovers, trailer, two milan posts, two mira sights three smg`s and most importantly 200 benson and hedges.
RE divers were quickly on the scene and rescued my ****,which, still in their cellophane wrappers , were undamaged.

Were all you guys car nuts whilst in the forces? The reason i ask is that cars never really entered the conversation in a big way (or football for that matter). Women, beer and fighting were the main topics ( Ok, I was in 2 Para!)Plus we never used as a rule got based in Germany, so could'nt afford a nice car! although a good friend of mine did have a brown Austin Allegro,

You knew my ex-CFI, didn't you? Mr Eccles. I've also flown with a Flt Lt "Sumpy" Andrews, and Bill/Will/William/Billiam McAdam, both ex-Lyneham. My squadron's always been full of ex-FA drivers.
