Good to wrap up the one day series now need to go on and make it 5-0.

I think the Aussies have made a huge mistake not playing Maxwell as I think he is one of the best 20/20 and 50 over batsmen in the World. Glad they left him out the squad!

The England players going off to the IPL have certainly put their prices up with the current performances be interesting to see how they do in the tri series 20/20.

How that would wind up the Aussies returning home saying we won 5-4

The Barmy Army were in fine form in today's game

I think that was an Aussie Day gift from us to them today

8-5 at one point, maybe England celebrated Aussie Day 24 hours early

It was a shocking performance and really saved by Woakes and Curran at the end with the bat. I thought our bowling was far too mediocre as usual, the difference in aggression between the Aussie bowlers and ours is night and day.

It's amazing how we've gone from being the best Test side in the world and ****e at the short format to being ****e at test level and probably one of the best two short form teams on the planet.

Strewth !

Anderson has clearly had his day. If he is supposed to be the best swing bowler in the World how the hell did he not clean up today in those conditions like Southee and Boult did?! The fact is we bowl too slow, too wide and too short. Those 2 Kiwis bowled at the stumps and pitched it up for 20 overs flat out and took 10 wickets ffs. How come our lot can't do the same? They haven't got a clue. The bowling coaches need sacking they really do.

Cheating convicts! i'm absolutely gobsmacked they even thought the idea up let alone all knew about it and agreed to do it in this day and age of TV scrutiny ffs.

Smith should go as Captain that's for sure, he can't cheat in a test match and then refuse to resign and the ACB not sack him.

The match should be forfeited when one side has been caught cheating and the result go to SA.

Couldn't agree more, he's so bloody arrogant he wont stand own. Actions were so blatant

When your PM gets involved it's time to man up and do the right thing.

The ICC punishment is a joke. It says a lot about the ICC and how serious they are about cheating in the game. The Australian media are the ones who have got it right.

I've always felt the fact the ICC are based in the UAE, you know that hot bed of International Cricket says it all really, jolly boys outing.

If Smith wa playing for PAK he would have got more than a games ban from them

I'm just hoping the Aussie press make it impossible for him to continue as captain. Also now saying there was cheating in the Ashes with them using sugar in their pockets to rough the ball up.

The ICC are an embarrassment if all they think it warrants is a one game ban ffs. He has ruined his career though as he will no longer be looked at as the number 1 batsman in the World but a cheat.

Had a really good chat with a couple of Aussie mates back in Sydney yesterday.

They're appalled especially as one of which actually played at a high level is NSW Cricket.

You'd expect them to be backing their men but neither did and they like the rest of Aus has said they get what they deserve and are ashamed of what's gone on, Cricket in Aus is like football to us, it's religion.

I know one thing, Turnbull has had words with Sutherland and he's probably been told in no uncertain terms get out to S.A. get this sorted and don't brush anything under the carpet.

It's good to see the Aussies having some grief after their laughing at the Stokes debacle.

Glad CA have given out the bans they have and think it's the minimum they should have received.

Typical Warne bleating it's too harsh If it had been players from another country i'm sure he wouldn't be saying it's too harsh.

Lol at Trott on twitter posting a goodbye wave to Warner

As for only the 3 players being strung up it's a complete damage limitation exercise by CA as there is no way other players and the coach weren't aware. Are you telling me the bowlers didn't notice any changes to the ball surface when they are looking at it all the time? It's absolute boll0cks. Others at least knew if weren't directly involved so the Aussies are getting off lightly with this whole incident.

The biggest hit to Warner and Smith is the loss of the $2.5m IPL contracts they were both about to be paid over the next month. That's the best punishment for me because that's a hell of a lot of money out the window all because they cheated
