Guys looking for help, where have you mounted the GPS sensor, pictures would be great. I have bought the unit today and will fit soon but don't want any unsightly cables.

The USB cables also when inserting into the car do you need to drill a big hole to get the plug through and try to fill it?

Apologies for the simple questions but hopefully you can help. Thanks Steven

I mounted the gps sensor in the left hand corner on top of the dash and ran the wire behind the glove box and under the plastic trim cover that goes up the inside of the left hand door. The trims easy to pull away and big enough to run a wire up it. Also your notice a gap behind the head unit that's big enough to fit a hand in so you can run the wire through the glove box and up the trim.

Nope definitely don't need to drill any holes. Same again with the USB cables as with the gps cable. Run it behind the stereo and through the little gap to the left hand side of the stereo and into the glove box

Thanks for this could you possibly post a couple of pictures of the GPS and USB cables. Also did you just earth the handbrake cable as others have mentioned. Really appreciate the help. Steven

My gps is on the dash in the middle of the car, I have pod gauges where the clock used to be so I just cut a little nick out of the centre of that for the cable to go through. I have one USB in the glove box and then the other is fed out of the panelling next to the drivers left knee so that I can neatly run a cable for my iPhone without it getting in the way when it's in a mount on the windscreen. I did the screw method to earth too.

You can customise the start up screen to any picture you like when you turn your ignition on.

The headunit mirrors whatever is on your phone so I'm assuming it shouldn't be a problem mate.

hi,

i know it’s an old thread but I’ve got the same head unit as you and would like to know whether you found a solution for this ? If so, where did you got the images from ? And how you put it on the screen ? Was it through a dongle ?

cheers
