On the contrary - they're extremely rare. I was just clarifying that they were fitted on pre-widetrack Blob cars as well as bugeyes.

I knew nothing about this, wasn't told this from Torque GT. Is this standard practice?

Ive held off email torque as my car is ment to land in the UK next Thursday, i can't hold off any longer.

Did anyone else get any updates from Torque? Saying there car had left Japan?

Im a bit annoyed tbh.

I joined the process when the car was already at sea. To be honest I've been emailing them asking for updates fairly frequently and they don't seem to mind at all! Like marco said, just drop them an email or call. Mike sent me the shipping invoice when it got to the UK and then he told me what's next, which was HMRC sending a letter to say they are happy and the car can be registered. Torque needed a copy of that so they can register with DVLA.

Paid half the price to secure or the shipping/import fees? I do think you need to chase them for updates some times but they don't mind and respond quickly when you do. A lot of it is just waiting for stuff that's out of their hands though

Hey bud, i sent Torque an email Thursday night.
Tristan replied yesterday morning apologizing for not letting me know when my car left Japan.

He also gave me the ships name and a link to marinetraffic so i am able to track the ship.
He said that the ship is meant to dock a day early, on the 23rd u but it doesn't really matter as its a bank hol weekend.

Mine took around 2 weeks maybe a few days more until it was registered.
I did chase them for updates though to see when it was going to be ready.

Well the Spec C is on a ship called Grand Choice, ive been tracking it over the last few days.
The weekend it was in the English channel where it went to Zeebrugge docks, it sat there for almost 2 days. It left Zeebrugge and headed for Bremerhaven docks.

The ship has just docked, Torque GT said that the ship will be in Southampton docks on Saturday.

Don't know how long it will take them to collect the car from the docks, but im excited now.

Well a little bit mate.

I payed the shipping charges on Friday and was told the ship would be docking at Southampton on the 24th.

The Grand Choice just seemed to sit in France for days, so today i expected it to move over to the UK as in my eyes it was late.

Ive just looked at the tracking and the Grand Choice is now headding for South Africa, toys where thrown across the room and i started to type Torque GT an email.

Just before i sent it i looked at the shipping invoice again and saw that there was two ships listed. Whoops.

The second ship is called Asian Emperor which dock in Southampton at 6am on the 25th and left at 11.00 pm that night.

So the Spec C has landed in the UK, haven't heard anything from Torque yet be i guess i will in the next day or two.

Can't blame you for missing the info. Being men, we tend to only focus on the main object and disregard the nitty grittys.
