Markus especially for you

From T.Wells go out through Frant along the A267.

Follow the A267 to Cross In Hand, go past the Esso garage then bare right towards Horam and Eastbourne, again alnog the A267.

Once you get to the roundabout (petrol station on right) take the A22 dual carriageway to Eastbourne.

At the HUGE new roundabout (3rd R'bout) where there are loads of roadworks turn left towards Polegate.

Go through Polegate to another set of roadworks and go round the temporary one way system towards Eastbourne.

Go straight over the mini R'bout (One Stop on right) and at the large junction turn left, The meeting place is about 1/2 mile on the left.

Its not like I know the route or anything. Apparently when the roads are empty you can do the trip in around 25 mins. Otherwise its about 45 mins.

Nathan..

Edited cos I still cant speal.

Sorry All, its not personal I can't make this meet either. Gutted.!!!. I just been reminded I have got to pick my inlaws up from the airport at 6.30-7pm on Saturday.

Krud- Yes that was me. At the time I was on the look out for an Evo but have now got one.! Its a shame I won't be able to show it off this time.

LC Geezer(Dave)- I was gona wait until we have some hail stones or snow before I do another BQQ. hehe. All joking aside I am at Le-Mans next weekend, but will sort something out for late June early July.

Rob

ROb,

You could turn up for 30min, then go to Gatwick from there. Will only take about 45mins from Eastboune if you go up the A/M23.

At least everyone will get to see the EVO. Plus I'm sure the Inlaws will enjoy the trip home ;0).....

25 mins I'd never do that honest

And I Forgot to add 25mins is the time it takes if of course you are actually using a light aircraft and not the scoob

It would make the missus go

Andy, and perhaps useful for STI Mark. From Lewes, stay on the A27 through the roadworks round Polegate, following signs for Hastings. You will go past the Old Polegate Station on your right, then the White Swan Car Centre, again on your right. Then you come to more major roadworks - follow the signs for Westham, then Westham/Stone Cross. You come to a r'aboutand go straight across (One Stop Shop on your right. You are in Stone Cross. Take the next left (B2104) to Hailsham. About half a mile on your left is Coopers restaurant/pub. If you get to Glynley Nursery you've gone too far.

So that's a map, and two different sets of instructions to mull over. No excuses then!!!!

Joni and Rob - shame - look forward to next time. Still no Ron, though???????????????

I'm home, in one piece (just) so will have slept this afternoon's excesses off well in time for tomorrow!

The STI will compliment the MY01 . I'm a little over the running in stage now, having done 2,000 miles, but am still learning how to drive it progressively, and won't be pushing it. Its a very different car after the MY97

I have a pretty good idea where Coopers is having taken the Pevensey Bay road a few times, so will see you all around 5pm.

Mark

I don't think so - I read "valve Keith dump" which made no sense at all!

Where are Ron and Claire? I've seen the car round and about twice in the last week (driven by Claire) - sadly no return wave - she concentrates on the road!

Last call for today's meet?

Another great meet, thanks to the new faces for coming along and to the regular maffia members.

For those that went home, you missed the usual supects cruising round Eastbourne picking fights with the locals and terrorising the lads at Mc Donalds Next time we need all 8 cars

G. I've Figured it out now, you've got loads more instant grunt but top end I seem to claw it back. Did you see the escort 16.i ghia coming off Lottbridge Drove back towards Stone Cross? He thought he could keep up as we both caned off in second, he was left for dead. As we came off the second R'bout he hadn't even reached the end of the dual carriageway. Lol.

Digital camera broken so I will have to find another way to download the pictures, does anyone have a compactflash card reader?

Cheers Nathan..

Yeh - Nathan had a McFlurry at McDonalds, others had apple pie. Who cares? Wish I'd had one now (with Smarties)! Imagine if we'd all turned up!!! When we left, the synchronised start up was fun - certainly made a few jaws drop.

Thanks for coming STI Mark (I like the sound of that too)!

Andy, Stella and Matthew - been too long. Hope you come again.

Ron - should never have doubted you!

Wow - those two new STI's had real presence parked together with the "cluster" of other Scoobs.

We will try and give more notice for the next one.

I feel bad for not replying last night now ... but the ZZZzzzs caught up on me

Yeah, another great meet, Scott's car looked clean n mean, Nathan's looked awesome (but needs a bigger spoiler ) Keiths remains the smartest wagon I know (and soon to get a lot LOT smarter !), nice to meet Mark/Andy/Stella/Matt - even if not too much time to talk, and as Keith said, how could we have thought Ron would miss out !

Just a few observations.... pulling out of Macs, I had to stomp on the brakes as there was a Toyota pulling out of the next junction with a glary stripe down its side (if you know what I mean ), and Nathan, we need our strip of road to test this out as I backed off very early due to knowing there was a contstable around somewhere.

Anyway, another fantastic meet, and a huge well done to Steve for turning up....ALBEIT 4 hours late !!

I THINK HE'S VERY PLEASED HE TURNED UP - TO SEE THE NEW STI's!!!!

Anyway, what are you doing up at such an ungodly hour, sir, when you must be more tired than a really tired person who is just beginning to feel tired after some sleep, if you see what I mean.

Have a nice day with those Scoob fans smaller than thou.

Sorry I was late and didn't have chance to talk to all, but am glad to have made the effort to get there at all! Good to see everyone again and thanks for the dirtiest car award - 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Good to see the STIs, they looked great in the line up - I'm still tempted, could you tell? Thanks Andy and STI Mark for answering so many questions about your new vehicles, it was good to meet you both.

Do Md still do creme egg McFlurrys? or are they for Escort drivers?
