Would rather go back to stock unless there is such a thing as a comfortable coilover setup.
I can vouch for the MeisterR Zeta-CRD units for comfort and ride quality. I find them not too far from standard setup and very comfortable indeed for my every day road car. When pushed they handle great. Vast improvement!
I have the meister zeta r's on my daily drive p1 for the last two years. Not crashy like bcs. Slightly mre firm than std suspension(as expected frm coils). Handing is great. very good coilovers for the price and definitely recommend them to anyone
completed the 4th corner this morning and took the car out for an hour, mainly country roads, so this is a first impression which is a thumbs up.
I set the GT1's exactly the same as the BC's which they replaced.
They are more compliant than the BC's, out shopping this afternoon the wife commented, there is now something between me and the bumps in the road. She likes her Fiat 500 and the Scooby is something she has to bear.
The ride is always going to be firm as everything else in the suspension is uprated, but the car does feel more compliant.
When pushed the GT1's feel much superior, turn in is a lot sharper and controlled and I never felt anywhere near the limit, of course this is based on a short drive but I do feel the car will be faster on track.
Just to echo Brown Pants Racing, the brake line brackets do require re-tapping, M8x1.0

I've got a trackday at Bedford on the 19th Sept so should be able to give more feedback then.
On the road I still feel they're better than the BC's, the main difference I notice is the car feels much safer and smoother at speed, that's floored in 6th.

I take it, you've had geom done too, be good to know what you think after trackday.
Are these so far the best you've had in terms of suspension for the Subaru (if you've had/tried many others)
Great, do you feel they absorbe the bumps well (rebound) when pushing hard on B roads etc (if you've pushed them that hard yet)?

Just have had the STI shocks/prodrive springs and felt the BC's made the car feel much better supported and the GT1's are a move on again.
I had the GEO done, front trackrod arms were completely seized so had to be replaced, my clutch is on the way out, trying to get that done before trackday, so all being well should be good on the 19th

Let us know how it goes, but here is my personal experience using GT1 on a few of my own car.
The best one is probably on my current 350Z as I have been driving it over rough roads to find out what it is like.
One odd thing with the GT1 is that what your think you will get vs. what you actually get don't match up, and it takes a bit of time to get use to that... in a good way.
When I am driving through my local country lane, there is quite a bit of broke tarmac surface (as seen in pictures).
When you are going through a rough patch, on the straight and in the corner, your head is expecting for the car to get unsettle from the bumps... because that is what normally happens.
It isn't complete loss of traction, but you just expect something to unsettle and your mind and body is "ready" for it.
So you drive over the bumps, you feel them, but the car do not get unsettle at all.
That is the beauty of the GT1 (and good suspension in general), is that it can absorb those sudden disturbance without unsettling the car; that mean it is doing it's job.
The odd things is that now your brain don't match up to the drive.
Because all your sense was ready for something.... THAT DIDN'T HAPPENED.
So you continue on and are just slightly gob smack for a bit... and that is one thing that it took me a while to get use to.
This is especially true when you have it on stiffer adjustment, because you get all the stiffness and response you want to get form a sport suspension, but it still go over bumps like they don't exist.
Odd feeling, but that is the best personal description I can give.

Put about 1000 miles on the gt1s on my 94 import sti. So happy with them. You can feel the difference between just a few clicks. The roads where I live in Devon r the worst and even the missus thinks they're ok, didn't even tell her they could go 5 clicks softer,lol. I haven't slammed the car either, on 17s and have plenty of clearance. Even on softest setting they still perform amazingly. They do firm up a lot and I've not even run on firmest setting yet. No knocks, squeaks or anything. They've given me a lot of confidence and transformed the car

Glad that you are enjoying the GT1...
You can keep going up on the damping, the GT1 are valved specifically to the paired springs rates, so you should be able to run the car within 5 clicks of full stiff and be within vehicle dynamic functional range.
I ran it around -10 to -15 clicks for the road, but almost full stiff on the track... and the GT1 worked really really well.

I'm looking for a replacement for a set of BC BR that I'm struggling with on the roads I drive due to the very poor surfaces. Interested in the GT1's but was wondering how they are on rough uk roads.
The post you put above with the 350z is based on rough roads and you mention it's your car and your review. From another forum I've seen the same post by someone from Houston? Is this you also, I'm asking as I'm looking for subjective reviews from the UK and having worked in Houston and all over America I can safely save a rough road over in the US is not the same as a rough B road in Scotland.
