It must have been like the Fast and Furious film where the quarter mile has 14 gear changes and takes 30 seconds.
0-50mph in a GTR if he was trying would be over in less than 2 seconds. You're saying in the split second the lights went green you were able to judge that the GTR was going to accelerate hard drop your clutch, pull off in 1st, change gear manually into 2nd and then realise the GTR wasn't actually in fact racing and slammed your brakes on?

Ps. I didn't say me and the gtr accelerated hard in 1st but when in 2nd gear from about 20-25mph we both toed it and about 50mph i had to brake to avoid hitting him from behind

How do you know the GTR driver was actually trying? more likely he was just pooting along and minding his own business and saw some loon in his mirror and then backed off even more. There's noway in hell your 350brake wagon could compete with a standard GTR in almost any situation! If you really believe otherwise you're fecking deluded mate.

Are you trying to say that you can't tell when another car is trying it with you? Like by their engine sound and driving manner,both of us were on the power.
Anyway it was only a quick blast but couldn't believe it,i thought he would've obliverated me. My car is apparently 320bhp but I've never seen a print out,i bought it modified. Im not trying to say I've got the fastest subaru ever but believe me or not guys every car I've come up against,I've had the legs on.

Again to be fair, he's running a forged engine and un-known BHP along with a cryogenically treated 5 speed, and he's not saying he had it up to 100mph, so he stayed with a GTR for 2/3 seconds hardly the feat of the century.

Jim where did you have your gearbox done and how much did it cost, as I'm interested in possibly doing it to my 5 speed. Pm me if you don't want to say here.

Also although totally off the thread flow RENNtech have now released stage 2 460bhp
Torque ltd to 555 I think or if you require race track car they will flick it to 585, gearbox max torque or recommended is shy under 600, so this needs a mod if you go any more, well done RENNtech though look forward to the tues.

Guys also won the 1000 dollar willall reward he posted 11.48 in a mapped stage 1 a45 target was first a45 under 12

0-60 in 5 in a real 320 HP WRX without a launch is probably decent. This is 0.55g. GTR with a stage 1 map pulls similar g through 1st and 2nd at about a third throttle - ie not trying. I do it just driving out a junction normally every day I drive it. He wasn't trying.

Hmm, I don't know, that's only half a second quicker than stock with 100bhp more. I would expect it would be a bit quicker than that . . . Nowhere near a GTR though!

Note stock HP, very rare u get a factory A45 running MB quoted 360, there more often 375 upwards , MSLs GLA45 came from factory running 395BHP

Modifications:

- 98 RON / 93 AKI fuel

- ECE / EWG corrected engine results on SuperFlow dyno, same car, same dyno, same fuel

STOCK: 328 AWHP / 374 hp at crank / 442 Nm engine torque

STAGE 1: 361 AWHP / 414 hp at crank / 514 Nm engine torque

STAGE 2: 393 AWHP / 460 hp at crank / 540 Nm engine torque

I did say without launching it. Were you expecting 4.5 to 60 in a hardly featherweight 2.0 with a turbo big enough to do 320 HP without launching?

Consider that even a standard GTR will accelerate by about 10mph during a 0-60 in the 0.5 seconds that it takes a good Subaru driver to change gear.

Having tuned many 320 BHP Subarus, there is not a hope in hell for the Subaru, sorry.

Every wrx owner bangs on about owning some sort of hypercar slayer,its called proper car envy as the reality is they know their car is slow and crap.

Atleast someone understands lol i wouldn't think for a second i could beat a gtr down the strip from launch but the few second blast we had,i was shocked.
The r8 and the 5.45 on the other hand was a good tear up down a motorway with blasts from about 80mph-150mph which against the 5.45 i left him by more than 5 car lengths and the r8 i sat on him about 80mph,he dropped it down a gear (you can hear it drop down and the v8 rev noise) he then realised he needed to drop another gear,his engine was roaring and i kept on him and about 125mph i started to undertake him because we were both in the outside lane but i then decided it wasn't safe because of other cars and i pulled back in behind him. I had to google his number plate later to see if it was a v8 or v10 because again i couldn't believe i had the legs on a r8! The s5,well i have doubts it was real because i left such a gap from the from a rolling start upto about 80mph i waved goodbye to him out my window and when i turned off he waved to say good race,or more like,****,your car is fast lol
