I use to have fk452 which were a great price and tyre but these are no longer in production.

I've now switched to Yoko prada, great tyre with a soft compound for good in wet and dry but around £110 a corner fitted

Yeah, i've had them on the car for about 6 months now, seem to do quite well for a fast road.

Done afew trips over brecon and the Forest of dean in both wet and dry and still good in both conditions.

I'm running 17's on a classic Impreza, however it can come down to setup of the suspension, tyre pressures and size of the tyre of how well it holds to the road.

Glenn,

I am sure I had 225/40/18's on the Subaru Forester STi alloys, but let me check. I did go for the Falkens 452 but these are now superceded by the 453's. They never let me down and performed brilliantly on the mid Wales runs.

Vredesteins Ultrac Sessanta are good in both wet and dry but started to tramline a lot when down to 5.5mm.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports are great but not cheap.
Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymmetric and Hankook S1 Evo are very good too.

I have seen Prada 2's fitted incorrectly and this proved to be very interesting in dry or wet!

Had a pair of FK453's fitted at sardis road tyres a few weeks ago for £155 all in. He did say they were discounted at the time and should be closer to £85 a corner fitted but still super cheap!
