Colin - do you have any un-modded cars?! Excellent! ...now what can you do with mine

Well - we'll be attending in the Corsa, so we'll see you all there, maybe we should have a Corsa/Peugout corner Got fed up with Strides ("call us tomorrow, it might be ready") and wasting my entire honeymoon waiting for Scoob so talked to Sparshatts and spoke to a lovely bloke (?!) who was very helpful (?!?!?! ) and told me the car was f*cked essentially, unlike mr Stride who said it was just a cambelt change. Still, they're doing their best and will probably be stipping the engine next week...quite impressed that I didn't kill someone when they said: "we saw it a month ago and told Stride's to bring it down, but it only came down yesterday...if we'd have had it when we asked you'd have had it back a couple of weeks ago..." Oh well....

The Corsa's all polished specially! (naaa.. It just needed a clean anyway after 4 weeks hour-plus commute each way a day).

I'll have my digital camera with me again btw for more practice with it.

If the weather's dry and there's spare time around, anyone fancy taking me for a ride to remind me what it's like? It's a long time since I've been in a Scooby (last October-ish at a guess). Not that I need any more tempting to want to get one. It was the house or the car first, now it's definitely the car looking at the way the house market is.

 

Breezer I'm sure Paul will give you a spin to show off his new suspension, that will put you off going in Scooby ever again.

Myself and the Legacy freaks are meeting at Ringwood, come off the A31 slip road down into Ringwood and keep left, theres a layby on the left just below the A31 Ringwood fly-over.

Meeting there at 1.00 sharp, we'll be there just before 1.

 

btw, NOT the fly-over at top of spur road, actually down the slip road into Ringwood.

 

I have a spare passenger seat(well and obviously 2 in the back too ;-)) if anyone wants "shotgun" in a scoob. My navigator has backed out.

Well, now that Scoobynet's back up I have to post and say I had a great time there, and to top it all the weather was brilliant (if threatening to get a little nippy when the sun went in).

Thanks everyone for making it such a success. I can't wait to get my Scoob (been wanting one since middle of last year but due to things like being made redundant and saving up it's only now I can really seriously consider it). At least I (hopefully) know more about them now and have had some driving experience.

Was Colin's the purple one? I took a few pics of it, if I've still got them on my digital camera/PC I might post them here/my web page for ya tonight (Wednesday). Although it seemed to come out less bright than it actually is.

Nice to meet you breezer - have to give you a ride in ours if you don't get one soon (when I get it back obviously! ) ...hopefully have the new brakes/centre section fitted and then the next project is the suspension ....I think I just about remember the day when we said: " if we keep it standard the insurance will be affordable..."

The pictures wouldn't show up on my machine (I'm working at home) and I could only see red crosses, but I've just checked again and all the pics are back. It may be that the web page the pics are on was down, or something to do with the Scoobynet being down/being indexed... works for me now, anyway!
