Hants Sunday pub meet.
Winnall sounds good to me, gives me a chance to warm the car up
ADP why dont you pick him up first & give him a run to Winnall & back, Last time I ventured into Bullington the roads were filthy courtesy of the local Farmers.
If you do go on the "OLD" A34 towards Sutton Scotney the police tend to Radar it a lot at weekends as its a wide hardly used fast road, Normally just over the top of the South Wonston Hill, look for the nose of the car on the left hand side backed into the bridge under the A34 & sometimes they are within the 30 at Sutton Scotney.

hmm sometime after the England match had finished I think, or it may have been another day actually - this wagon was coming up from the hockley slip road onto the roundabout that would take you South or into the St Cross end of winchester - I was going down towards Hockley, just off the roundabout.
also may have seen you parked outside the fish and chip shop in Weeke?

Not me on the slip road, Possibly me outside the Indian in Weeke (2 doors from the Chip shop).
I think we should leave this Thread for the Sunday meet. We will meet on Sunday & that will sort if we have seen each other around

Sorry to butt into your own thread
I have spoken to the pub today and they would like if possible some idea of those who are likely to want food.
It's not,say now or go without, but it would help them with any extra that may need to be ordered.
Cheers Paul.

ADP - nice car

Paul - we'll be 2 for eating
save me having to cook at least
Also up for meeting at Winnal if we've got Scoob back - just heading out to have a look at him this morning
Hopefully it'll be soon, but you've got to look at the bright side - they've changed the cambelt
That'll save a few quid!

First off - Chris_S199, back in a previous page you mentioned your little red corsa - I have one too! (dark red, ie maroon - you know what I mean, there's enough Corsa's that colour around). Is this an old-style one? We could have our own little Corsa-meet where we complain about the ride and handling but laugh at the Scooby fuel (un)economy and insurance costs (about the only things the Corsa does better than the Impreza on).
Unless you've got your Scooby back of course, in which case I'll just be all on my little lonesome self. Apart from the Peugeot 306 someone'll be there with (if I remember reading correctly - IIRRC)
I had a recent experience to stop me complaining about the Corsa engines - the old 1.4i (non 16-valve) may be crap at low revs but get the launch right and it don't half eat up 0-20mph and just about gobbles up 0-30. And no, that's not just it _thinking_ it's doing 20 cos the wheels are spinning...
Sorry to everyone else, this is more like a mail to Chris - which it would be if I could see his address in his profile.
Lastly, if there's any Scooby's in Thatcham who want to wave at my 3-door L-reg Corsa (there's a dent in the rear right hand side) you're very welcome, and I should probably put some stickers on. Such as "My next car's an Impreza" or "Scooby wannabe on board" or any other takes on standard car stickers.
Or maybe taking the Vauxhall badge off and getting a Subaru one to replace it with somehow... That would confuse people.
Sorry, going very OT now.. Next post please.......

lol @ Breezer
Ours (Chris being my bloke...er..nope - husband now
) is an old shape - 1.2 pre-sixteen valve, it's a vegas which means you get a sunroof and rev counter and they take basically everything else off
His the standard red colour which I have a bit of an afinity for as my old little red corsa (N-reg) protected me from a 44ton portugesse lorry driver not checking his mirrors and taking me out on the M1
nutter.
I know what you mean about ride etc! Sacred the hell out of me when I got out of Scoob and drove around the M25 in it - got used to him again now and we even overtook a Merc yesterday

(ok, so he was only doing 50...
).
Anyway, might see you in him on Sunday, but it'll depend on wheter Scoob starts up when they've done the cambelt...little red P reg corsa - Scoobynet sticker in the back and SIDC one in the front

I think I have seen it all now.Discussing the merits of a CORSA

I have spoken to the pub again today and have organised some reserved table's for those who wish to eat. They did say if we can have the meal's sorted out before 2:00 that would help them.
This would give us plenty of time to chat afterward's.
Looking forward to seeing loads of you
Cheers Paul.

I can also talk about Corsa's as the girlfreind has 1. Hers is a 1.4 16v sport, black, everthing is colour coded, GSI front bumper, lowerd, 15" alloys and the best part is 285mm crossdrilled Calibra turbo brakes, it stops as good as my Scooby with Scoobysport Brembos.
See you all Sunday hopefully in the Scooby, Colin.

HK, I have a new Scooby coming now
I may have to sell the old car with the OZ's still on it, but I am putting on either the new 7 spoke or 10 spoke Prodrive wheels on to my new car.
If the dealers happy with me doing it, then I will probably put the spare STi gold wheels on my old car and keep the OZ's for selling later on.
If that makes any sense and you understood it then well done
So the answer is, see me at the next Dorset meet, should have new car and will know whats happening to the OZ's by then.

The 2:00 time for food is not the deadline but it help's the pub if the majority have eaten.Any late comer's will still have the chance to eat if they wish.
What do you mean Stuart,if people can keep up with me?
I am alway's on my best behavior

See you all soon
Paul.
