Well after using the kanger Kbox all afternoon,my only real gripe so far is the threaded cap and spring tension. Its not a big pita, but an inconvenience compared to other screw caps. Threads seem ok,but care has to be taken not to cross thread(not a real problem, just sometimes can take 10 seconds to align and secure faffing a little ).

Had it up to 40w on the delta 2 tank.......gets hot quick!! not something you could use as a regular/heavy vape power. So 20-25w imho is the sweet spot for the delta 2 on this Kbox mod. Still gets quite warm at 25w after a few vapes!

I tend to agree ven but after a few battery changes it does get easier, very tight when new but seems to be just right now. Like you say, great value for £25! My 1st mod box so I can't compare to others, runs my subtank nano a treat and I tend to stick to 20-25w. I gave it a blast on 35w and it nearly burnt mi lungs out lol.
My delta 2 will be here tomorrow so look forward to giving it a try

I forgot you had the Kbox

Well,i have had many,from porvaris to vaporsharks(had 2).

Now dont get me wrong the rDNA40 is the mutts nuts ,but at £150..........well lets just say its not £125 better!

The led display of W and V,temp control of coils, latest DNA chip is kick *** and can be tuned more accurate than 5W a time. In fact its 0.1w at a time.......

BUT i tend to use around 20-25w,so ............does 21.3w make a noticeable difference over 20w............not with my tanks anyway.

The kanger is good enough to have a couple of,maybe one for the subaru, one for home or work etc its that cheap and good value.

My i20 is now retired on to "just get for convenience duty",the subaru will now house the Kbox, will use the VS too.

Good news on the threads, sure the spring will weaken over time

The delta 2 works well with the Kbox so much so,its on now and has been most of afternoon

Cheers ven

Sorted the tail cap thread (slight) issue out, just used a couple of dabs of nyogel. Mopped up any excess with ear bud..........

This to be exact

Smooth as silk, and easier to get started now.

5 days on the TW subflow tank, quite a bit bigger than the kanger nano and it does fit well on the Kbox. The coil that it came with gave up the ghost after 3 days solid vaping which is poor so I'm on the rebuildable one now and it's all good, plus looks easy enough to make my own coils
I agree with ven on the adjustable flow coils, think they're just a gimmick really and the rebuildable doesn't have this option anyway.
The only negative about the subflow tank is that when I adjust the airflow to anything less than fully open I get an annoying whistle shame really because it would have got an 8 out of 10 from me,,I will have to mark it down to 7 but all in all happy with my purchase.

I hope it grows to a 9 in time.......

Reason-I find the coils do last, imo you got unlucky with the coil,i have had a couple of weeks heavy vape from 1,even had it up to 40w too.

Yes fully open air, fully open coil adjuster, just make sure pre vape, the coil has had fluid soaked in via drips at top till wick changes darker. Then allow to sit in tank for 10 mins to soak more up. Starting at a nice 20w and take from there...........

I find a nice mix of 50/50 works well in the tank, too much VG for example can limit the juice flow to the coil due to viscosity.

My bug bares are-size,the 3.5ml gets topped up regular, luckily the threads are smooth and good. 2nd- Boy does it eat cells,i am changing my IMR LG or 25Rs every couple of hours for fresh, then slapping the others on charge. What i have noticed is the generous cut off of 3.6v give/take 0.2v. Other mods like the vaporshark will run to 3.3v .

It is actually better on the cell to charge from 3.6v than 3.3v,but IMR cells can be used lower due to chemistry..........thats another subject :-)

Not tried my own coils with the flow, but i am happy for now with the pre-made,in fact i will go as far as saying they are lasting longer than my aspire and subtank by a noticeable difference. I think you may have got unlucky(hope just a dodgy one). Would give it more chance and order a few more if possible.

Code this week is 1MAR15 for 15%

Jeezeus ven,new cell every few hours lol thought I was a heavy vaper
I'm using Efest IMR's 3.7v 20A and they were good for 2 days on the kanger nano but only a day on the subflow tank, that was on the pre made coil, now I've got the RBA in I'm getting longer. I bought 10 pre-wrapped kenthal wire coils for £1.99 and 5 sheets of cotton for £3.99 which should be enough for about 100 coils I recon. I need to get a couple more cells and might go for the 35A as I see that's what you use.
All in all I'm happy with the subflow juice eating monster and be using that with the RBA for my vaping now, will also be ordering the rest of the juice making kit so I can start on that too

Oh the 35a 2500 efest are spot on,so are the 25r samsungs(20a)

LG are good too

Just ordered some pany PFs at 3200mah and 10a rated,as at even 30w and 0.5ohm its well under its A rating!!

I use them in some flashlights

Grey ones

These have soldered blobs on top to make flat top to button top,so wont fit in most mods(unless provari that like button top).

So 2 on order from
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011882535...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Norb is a great guy, very efficient and highly recommend for genuine cells(yes many fakes out there) and for chargers.

Sorry the genuine are not cheap!!! but as they say,buy once cry once....

Russian 91 is about as good as it gets within reason, but look into possible new updated tanks as its a lot of money to invest when another round the corner may come out.

ecolux has always been spot on for me,will even go outside bay once he knows you and saves money . No good for 1 cell(not worth it for Norb),but if buying 4 cells or a charger, good savings can be had

Well i have found some cells, admitedly not highest Amp rated but at 10a continuous and 15a pulse(short bursts) its more than enough for my sub ohm use. Even at 35w its 9a iirc,so under the rating but with 3200mah benefits and it does make a difference.

Just going off the Kbox that works down to around 40% charge at 3.6v,the 3200mah cells are still showing 3 lights when i would be swapping cells. I guess around 1/3 longer vape time.............Dont forget we dont see the full 3200mah or 2500mah of cells, this is the full capacity tested down to 3.0v at times iirc.

So pany BDs(flat top) imo are a great cell option for anyone not pushing the sub ohming too much

Cheers ven

I'm tending to use the Kbox until the cell goes flat but I only have 2 atm,got another 2 on order so will start swapping over before they go flat. Kanger subtank looks well on the Kbox,I'm getting on well with the TW subflow tank and now I'm using the RBA its vaping well.
I've added PG and some extra flavor to the juices I couldn't use due to being too harsh and spitting a lot. So I'm on the Northern Monkey(banana) with extra flavor and more PG and its a nice smooth tasty vape

Subflow/delta2 imo is one of the smoothest, nicest vapes out of the sub ohm tanks using same fluid. Love it again down side is the battery rate and fluid rate used Tricky to top without getting in centre section.............and dripping out

Cant wait for the atlantis mega

Very smooth vape indeed. I have a 20ml squeezy plastic refill bottle with a long needle filler, got it with a cheap ego starter kit when I started vaping, fills the subflow up a treat. As it eats through juice like my Scooby then my next tank is going to have a bigger capacity.

Definitely want to upgrade to a box mod soon. Tried one in the local e cig shop today and it really does give a much better vape.

Do you think that the curve deal that you suggested earlier Mark will suffice, or do you reckon I go bigger straight away?

Quite like the size of the Curve and Kbox though.

So, so happy that I'm 99% sure of what the cause of my intolerance was - Witch Liquid Butter Scotch as well as most sweet flavours from them. Although oddly enough, not the Bubble gum mix that you sent me Mark, or my other favourite, Mentol and Eucalyptus juice from Zeus.

Been on that all day today after picking some up and I have been fine. It's a 50:50 mix at 18mg, so I know it can't be PG/VG or the Nicotine levels. It would appear to be the flavouring.

I am going to email Witch Liquid today and see if they willl send me the make up of the ButterScotch liquid, just so that I can try to narrow down the specific ingredient/s that don't work with me.

GH seriously consider the iStick 30W or 50W mod boxes, if you want something just as good as the kbox, but with a smaller handprint, it's a really nice mod for the price.

I've made my 1st samples of e-juice now using some flavours i haven't tried before and they have come out awesome, even if i do say so myself

Ok, will have a look. Well done on your own mixes. Mark is very kindly sending me some more of his bubble gum juice (and he won't accept any money for it!) so that I can confirm that his mix is fine with my stomach. If it does, I'll buy my own kit from TW and start making my own.

Any flavours that you would recommend?

On side note, I now have all of these available if anyone is interested?

Good news Chris, will sort some tomorrow for you before you take plunge.

Erm tough call with mods,i prefer the kanger tbh over the(presume i30 as that is sub ohm) . BUT and its a big BUT the i30 is built in battery,2200mah and lasts well......however sub ohm vaping will eat it quick. May end up passive vape/charging a lot(plugged in USB all time )

The kanger is 18650 fed,so good IMR cells or INR as mentioned in previous posts are requied for safety.

Now cells wise i can give links, but although its a little more £ at 1st,long term its cheaper as many good box mods use 18650 cells. An Xtar sp1 for example or even cheaper is sufficient,so a £10 charger spend, maybe £12-£14 on 2x18650 IMR cells and job done............If cell gives in,you can replace with new, sealed in...........well its in the bin unless you want to open up and replace built in cell(not a major op).

Then tanks,no order

Kanger Subtank
Atlantis aspire(would buy the 5ml upgrade or in fact wait for the mega which is 5ml,out soon)
Delta2(or subflow on TW site)

Those 3 are my rotation right now,i use 0.5ohm in all right now too.

Then spare coils, usually pack of 4 or 5,could be £12 give/take from amazon.

I then order from fasttech, make sure "authentic" so genuine and work out maybe 30% cheaper. However allow 3-4 weeks delivery...........hence buy some in UK for the ready.

Now sub ohm eats juice like a subaru as said so any less than 3.5ml capacity ,you will be topping it up regular. So i prefer larger tanks in general, just more convenient............you will find you own way and what suits you.

If you need links just shout, but expect around a £60-£70 outlay for mod and tank,5 coils...........(pretty good value tbh)

BUT again you will soon start saving making own fluid, out lay at 1st,but soon pays back and lets be honest,£100 or so..........well its 11 days of cigs, having 20 a day............not much in the bigger picture. ...............Thats how i justify my spends

Right now,if me and had to pick, for smooth vape set up,but tank not biggest,i would go Kanger Kbox,Dellta 2. Xtar charger(either single or double bay and all pretty good so no need to spend big) and a couple of samsung INR 25r cells,Panasonic BDs 3200mah ,efest 2500mah 35a or LG 2500 cells. Always get at least 2,one charging, one in unit.

I am a different case........in many ways but i find 3 cells the magic No for a mod,one in unit, take spare with me,one charging etc............May use the one up in mod,may be using spare as out,get in,both on charge and 3rd in mod.........example for 3 cells.

iStick lasts 2 days between charges, which is plenty. For me i can't be arsed with the cells, its much more convenient to USB charge.

Yea he's a good lad Mark, his bubblegum is great i have some concentrates to mix up some more of that as well Will be interesting to see if its as good as his was

To be honest it really is trial and error and personal preference on the flavours you choose, i like to mix it up day to day, so i usually go with fruits and the bubblegum now. I guess my favs are any apple, banana and pineapple variants and coffee is good. Also anything with a custard mix is good for me.

My own sample mixes were granny apple (nice), pear (meh), mango (nice) and kiwi (nice)

Update on the subflow tank,Great tank, the RBA takes some getting used to,my 1st two attempts at coil building were pretty poor and only lasted a couple of days(I've done a bit of reading up and hopefully 3rd time lucky). So I'm nearly a week on the spare coil That came with the tank and it's still vaping well

Heads up on the TW election liquids,on offer so I bought all 5 flavours(not tried yet,but from what I've tried from TW so far they do quality juice)

Also all ready to mix my own juice after the next government is elected lol

And Ven.....what have you done to me ......Lol

I'm catching you up,even have battery's ready for the headtorch I have on order.

Ps forgive poor quality photos,I really need to invest in a decent camera.

The D4 is not a bad charger, good value, only slight downside is on 4 cells iirc its charge rate is 0.5a..........no biggie if no rush, either way its repuatble and safe unlike ****fire crap!!

And the journey begins.........soon be 18650 vaping it is the way forward as with lights,1x18650 is like having 4 or 5 AA cells in power, but lot more compact and powerful. Same cells are in your lap top or power tool(if lithium). Oh and if you ever decide on a prius(hope not) they run vtc5 cells from sony Hence shortage and a new Panasonic factory built in china to support these ****e electric cars..........

Ye it's a VC4 but same spec as the D4 I think,1.0a With 2 cells and 0.5a with 4 hooked up,definatly better and much safer than the cheapo cr@p I was using
Definatly glad I went for a modbox with replaceable 18650 cells, always got spares to swap straight over so no vape by wire for me

Ermm...I think the ladys can teach us a thing or 2 about vaping(cough, cough)

Cool charger,so what 18650 mods will be in the pipe line soon??

The new mec mod ody looks pretty solid/nice for the money
http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co....d-product.html

Do prefer VV overall though, but may get it for some sub ohm use and being stainless they just look like new after months. Nice and weighty too.....

Slightly different note, check out the new acebeam ec32 to go with the headlamp(similar to the pd35)
