Just done a dry track evening on the Brands Indy circuit with these pads and they were faultless.
I've been driving Subarus for ten years now and have finally found the right pads for me.
Don't know whether to be happy or sad.

Is it the case that squeal can be avoided by using shims? If so, anyone know where to get them and what they cost?
I went from original pads on a 2000 JDM wagon to RC5+. Just got the car back. The difference is, well, frightening. The pulling up seems to increase more than linearly with pedal pressure. Outstanding.

Whats a price on the Corbin Lorraine range?.
Presume it goes rc 5/5+/6/8....
I've destroyed a set of pf .01( I think, one below the race ones) in super hard track use. De laminated the pad off the backing plate, have done a lot of track days and awesome pad. Really impressed with it.
PF advised me if ideally need the top pad they offer so looking at my options with the CL range?.

We have now tested a set of RC5+ in a STi with Brembos. They perform extremely well although 2 things that let them down in my opinion is the squeal but that's the nature of the pads and the fact they seem to be slightly smaller than oem and other brands so knock when braking from forward to reverse and visa versa.
The knocking could be easily sorted with making the pad backing plate slightly longer but its for thermal expansion so not really somthing which can be done. The squeal i knew would be there and it was in a big way. My customer came back because of it. Upon inspection the oem discs were slightly lipped, and the edge of the pad was running around the lip which made the squeal worse. We slightly sanded the edge of the pad and refitted. Instant improvement squeal was now negligible. 3 days later squeal was back with a vengeance.
Luckily my customer ordered these pads online herself and requested fitting without asking any questions about them. We always advise the pro's and con's with these pads if anybody asks about them.
I was going to run these on our demo car but im not one for liking squeals so im still in 2 minds.

Hi guys
Do any of you do the CL RC5+ pads for the prodrive alcon caliper with 330mm*28mm discs.
Im ideally after just a day to day / fast road pad for them and these seem to be the most suitable. Dont mind a wee bit of squeeling but hopefully not to much

Old post I know, but I've never seen a more honest/accurate review of these pads from a vendor before.

It is a good review darrell, all points are spot on.
I'm a slight fan of these tbh (RC6) I havnt tried the rc5+ yet but I expect them to be simlar to rc6 but with less neck braking bite.
The squeal IMO was more pottering around speed (touching on brakes and not actually using them if that makes sense) when using them, they don't squeal ime.
If I had a newage id definitely go for the rc6 again as combine the weight of newage and these pads suit.
I now have a classic so I'd opt for rc5 this time as I think the rc6 in a classic might break my nose lol.
At the end of the day, it's how you use the car for day to day or weekend toy if your going to get these pads. Plenty of other pads on market for day to day with good performance. Everyone has different requirements

I thought I should add a few comments: I sourced a full set of these RC5+ for my daily driver, with fresh SS lines, fresh fluid, new Brembo discs and fully rebuilt/refurbished calipers (the OEM 4 piston jobs), and I really love these, for great initial bite and feel - it's a great set up. They do squeal a bit at low speeds, but once I'd been for a hoon, to get them bedded in, the noise stopped (perhaps it'll restart but that's the deal with performance pads...). It's no worse than cold Carbotech XP8s and the cold bite with the RC5+ is far better. I'd highly recommend for a fast road set up - I can't comment on the track as the WRX is my daily. But I'm super pleased.
