Bridgestone Re050/Re050A
Does any one know the difference between a 215/45/17 RE050 and a RE050A.
I think the std fit on my newage is the 050 but will an 050A be ok ???

the 050 tyre is symetrical across the centre line of the tread pattern and hence has a direction of travel.
But the 050A is a a-symetric tyre which has a inside and a outside. and is no-directional.

Thanks for replies guys.
I have done some more investigation & as said RE050A's are asymmetric whilst the RE050's are directional.
The have the same load rating 87w as the std RE050 GZ fitted on my car from new in 215/45/17 unless you get the XL (xtra load) 91w ones. All the dimensions etc are the same also so I am sure they they will be fine on my car.
