Hi there

As above Performance Friction Z-Rated pads I would choose without the questions,have run them on our wagon and they're been lot better than DS2500

DS2500 are dusty pads and PF Z-Rated pads are less dusty

Under heavy breaking depends on discs and calipers,but we are tried them on track days and they're been great,just if you are thinking more on track days,then I would choose different PF compound or Pagid RS pads,PF Z-rated are more orientated for fast road and occasional track days,not very heavy track work

I would speak with Alyn@AS Performance about the prices,he always give us his best prices

There is a slightly bigger picture here, IMO the performance of any pad is going to depend on what caliper / disc combination and the over all condition of them.

I have CP6600 AP 4 pots with Godspeed 2 pice grooved discs, I find the DS 2500 to be really good for what I want from them, cold bite is good and they can take a beating without fading, my last set covered over 20k in my ownership and were on the car when I bought it, they also didn't disintegrate over the last few mm like many pads I have used in the past do, and they don't eat the discs at a frightening rate.

This is the third set of pads that have been on the car since the brakes were purchased and there is little more than a 1mm lip on the discs, so that's well in excess of 40k miles covered.

Yes they are a little dusty but I can live with that, when all things are taken into consideration, fast road, occasional beating, longevity and overall cost I've not come across a better pad.

Just thought I'd even things out from a slightly different perspective.

I used to use DS2500 and thought they were good until I changed and realised I could brake much later th with the PF Z and that was right from the off and they are les aggressive than most performance pads.

It depends on what you want but I'm very happy with the RC5+ pads in my stock 4 pots, great initial bite and feel. But the WRX is just my road car.

The BBK/DS2500s in my other car feel a lot softer, even though I haven't been able to get them to fade yet on the track.

I don't want high dust or brake squeal as it's my daily.
