So I fitted the top and bottom rad hoses and the air box hose no trouble

Started on the axillary hoses (13 of them) but I have 6 left and can’t see where they go, I spent a while taking of different pipes to try them however they don’t seem to fit anywhere
Has anyone got a diagram or something to identify where they go.?

Top picture are all the hoses I received, bottom pic is the ones I have left over. Note the hose shaped like a "W" needs to be cut to make 3 hoses

Can anyone help ?

It could've a generic kit Lee hence why you have a few left over.

The first one in the left is a breather pipe going from rocker cover to the top in a funny way on the drivers side it's fun easier with the the header tank off tho

Pooh I remembered the 3rd one is under the car when you remove the under tray you'll see it near the bottom rad hose :-)

Have a look on the Opposed Forces parts website. They have exploded versions of the coolant system. Here's my thought.

I think the small elbow is down near the water pump.
http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/part...ey=&searchPart=

The W pipe looks like a header tank hose.
http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/part...ey=&searchPart=

The left hand and centre left look like crossover pipes.

But like SSS says the generic kits are for more than one engine and I had a few left over from my V5 STi.

Having swapped mine to red recently I also had a few left that annoyed the life out of me so a friend who has a garage that tends to work on subarus and evos had the car for a day and he was convinced too that the ones left were not for my car

Thanks for the replies guys, I was out there last night and found their locations with a little help from Craig

The two on the left are the heater matrix inlet & outlet hoses and are now fitted

The 3 oil cooler modine hoses still not sure exactly where these go, these will be done another time

Zany, you was spot on with the small one in the middle

Ian thanks for the links

I'm sure you get two that go on the right side of the intercooler area especially if it's samco but I could be wrong

Right bit of advice again sorry

So I filled up the car with coolant as described by Alcazar:

"Remove the rearmost pipe from the metal header tank on top of thengine, remove the cap from said tank. Jam a funnel down that hose and fill SLOWLY via the funnel, do NOT allow it to gulp.

Watch for the header tank to fill, once it reaches the top, remove funnel and replace that pipe.

Now, with cap still off, start engine and allow to warm up until fan comes on. Watch for bubbles, top up or mop up as necessary.

Once fans start, switch off, replace cap, drive round block, leave to cool.
When cool, remove cap, check level, top up if necessary, replace cap, job's a good'un.

It takes a while, but bear in mind, THERE IS NO KNOWN WAY TO BLEED THE SYSTEM IF YOU AIRLOCK IT"

I have put in just under 6ltrs after topping up when the car was cold, but it says it should take about 7ltrs but the expansion bottle is empty, should there be coolant in the expansion bottle yet? I only went for a drive about a mile down the road.

Any ideas

I don't know bout right or wrong way mate put I topped both sides header and rad top ran it for a couple of minutes with heater on hot but made sure the reserve bottle was filled to the max line closed then took for a run happy days that was on the widetrack I have now did it with red hoses then changed my mind and did it with the blue no problems all jolly well as it'll take the coolant from reserve if need be just top it up after you take it for a drive if need be if there's too much it'll jus drain out anyway good luck pal it's not a biggy

Having done mine recently I found leaving the coolant header tank cap off also helped after running the car.
Take it out, run it up to temp, bring it back allow to cool to hand hot and leave the cap off over night.
