As it's going to be a ridiculously long day, I may book a hotel on the Saturday night before, just a bit closer to the event.

You'll need to be seriously loaded. The hotel prices are ridiculous!! Plus they're most likely all booked up for miles.

Yep, I know that close to Goodwaood will be all sold & pretty expensive.
All i'm considering.... it's circa 3.5 hours drive, so need to be getting up at 3am to get there for 7am, as the car parks open at 6.30am.

Thee must be a Travel Lodge/Holiday Inn within 1/2 to 1 hours drive from Goodwood, which should be cheap-n-chearfull..!

We used to stay at a premier inn in Chichester and with a decent discount it cost £160 a night.

I was planning on getting to Goodwood for about 7-7:30, to avoid the queues on the last day!
So i'll be staying over on the Saturday night somewhere nearer.

Maybe catch the convoy on the way back
