Blobeye sti rear shocks
Hi there,
I've got a type uk blobeye sti that I need to get some replacement rear shocks for as I've got the usual scooby Shock knock. I know that the suspension on the sti to the wrx is different and was wondering if there are different ones available for sti or wrx as both seem to be listed as the same? I'm looking at the KYB shocks.
Cheers

STI rear inverted saloon:
KYB 321004
KYB 321005
STI rear non-inverted saloon (No more knocking, slightly more unsprung weight):
KYB 324030
KYB 324031
With the non-inverted, you'll need a pair of bump stops/dust boots:
kyb 910046

Cheers for the quick informative reply thats great! Which would you say would be best for a road car doing a fair bit of mileage? I take it the standard car is inverted? Will the existing top mounts and everything still fit ok?

Sti were inverted.
Blob/hawk top mounts will fit either strut type.
I'd have the non-inverted struts on a daily driver - who needs the increased concern/down-time/monies, of the inverted struts, potentially, failing early.
New inverted struts sit 5mmish higher, than new non-inverted struts - due to the higher static gas pressure.
These look like a pair of 324030/324031:
