Prodrive big brake kit (Alcon)reduced
Here for sale is my 5x100 Prodrive brake kit.
It is Alcon callipers, 330mm single piece discs in good condition and Ferodo brake pads that are maybe half worn.
The kit is off the car and ready to be boxed up when sold.
Any questions feel free to ask
£600ono

How do these fair up over the Brembo setup? I have Brembos with Godspeed discs and pads but haven't fitted them as yet. I may be interested in these if there was a decent difference.
Oh, and is there some kind of mounting brackets included?

Hi,
From what I have read the Alcon callipers are bigger, lighter, have a better clamping force and better heat dissipation than the Brembo calliper. I have never Had the Brembo set up on a scoob so cannot confirm this for definite.
Yes the kit comes with:
2x callipers
2x discs
2x set of pads
2x brackets
8x bolts
4x shims
2x banjo bolt
Thanks,
Lee

I found the alcons to be great on my P1, much better than the brembos on my new age. Although the new age is a heavier car, so maybe not a fair comparison. A lot of the P1 guys find that they can warp the one piece discs though, so maybe budget for 2 piece in the future if you're heavy on the brakes.

I'm not that heavy on the brakes apart from the odd little blast round a twisty road. I don't do track days or anything like that but the brakes, in my opinion, are awful on classics. I have 4 pots currently fitted which are ok but could be much better, I also have a full set of Brembos sitting on a shelf waiting to fit but if these Alcons were worth fitting I'd sell the Brembos on and get these instead.
