Low mileage 450bhp 2006 Hawkeye STI for sale
For sale is my 2006 Hawkeye STI which I am selling because my last 2 jobs haven’t afforded me the time to drive this great car. I considered selling this about about 18months ago but didn't in the hope circumstances would change, but they haven’t (and if ever they do then I will no doubt regret selling this), but I don’t want to see it continue to sit there and be wasted on the drive.
The car is HPI Clear and has had regular oil changes, even though the mileage I’ve done in it has been low - you will see the it only has 60,770 miles from new. I have looked after it during the time I’ve had it and has been covered when parked up in the winter whenever possible.
The car has had a significant amount of money spent on it and some key details are:
• Engine – Forged Engine rebuilt less than 5k miles ago by API Impreza including Mahle Pistons, ACL Bearings, ARP head studs, Oil Pump & Pick Up pump, Cambelt and Gaskets.
• FMIC – HDI GT2 Pro Front Mount with cold air induction kit fitted 1.5k miles ago.
• Turbo – MDX555-450 turbo (less than 2k miles old).
• Forge BOV less than 600miles ago.
• Exhaust – Complete Milltek Exhaust with Decat (Also less than 2k miles old and fitted at same time as turbo).
• Headers & Up-pipe – RCM GT2 Stainless Steel (Wrapped) and Harvey Up-pipe
• Injectors – Injectors upgraded for higher flow and mist spray.
• Clutch – ACT HD Clutch with ACT Lightweight Flywheel (with less than 600miles on them).
• STI Group N Gearbox & Engine mounts about 600 miles ago.
• ECUTEK remap by Duncan from here on Scoobynet, again 600 miles ago.
• Prosport JDM Oil Pressure & Boost pillar mounted gauges.
• DVD touch screen Sat Nav system with additional Amp & subwoofer under the front seats and upgraded front speakers.
• Prodrive 18 inch alloys.
• RAC Trackstar Plus fitted in January 2014.
• Factory alarm and Immobiliser with additional Black Jax/Immobiliser system.
• Fuel Pump – HRC HF 310LPH.
• This is amongst other things such as 3 port boost solenoid, newish Bosch Battery, Air Pump delete kit, Front & rear strut braces, Radiator Shroud (not fitted yet), NGK ILR7 Spark plugs (about 1.5k miles ago).
In the attempt to be an open and honest seller there are a couple of issues to note which I have taken into account in the price:
The AFR sensor temperature requires replacing - this can be done easily enough but I haven’t got round to it. Nik Baker at Car and Custom in Bristol unplugged it when last down there and can verify this if needed.
As with any car this age, there are a few little bodywork imperfections (minor stone chips etc) but these won’t take much work to resolve if you wanted to. The front plastic splitter has some scrapes, so you may want to replace it - but works fine and is personal choice.
It has MOT until 22nd January 2017 – the only advisories were that the pads were getting low and will require replacing at some point. The callipers work fine, but are showing their age so you may want to upgrade or refurbish at the same time – again it will be personal choice so not a necessity. Since the MOT I’ve only done about 500 miles and if keeping the car then my next mini project was gonna be the brakes.
I’m asking £11,500 for it but will take a sensible offer in order to see it go to a fellow Subaru enthusiast. Although I don't want to see it wasting away on the drive, I am in no real hurry to get rid of it, so will only sell to serious buyers. You will need also proof you have insurance or else I will drive.

Thanks mate, its with much regret that I'm trying to sell it, just can't justify having it sat around. Plus I'd like to save up for a GTR in a couple of years when I change jobs....but haven't told the wife yet
I hope whoever has it has a great time with it, its my third subaru and still have a great big smile on my face the rare times I do get to drive it.

Hi, apart from the front and rear strut braces it only has the prodrive springs but rest is standard.
