The Subaru 2.5 Engine EJ25 / EJ257 is prone to piston 4 blowing the piston ring. This can happen at any mileage even on a standard engine. I've carried out the above as a good base for anyone to run or even build upon. I wanted to use a new block rather than boring out the cylinders as this block will now be able to handle higher boost if it was ever to be tuned in the future. All work was carried out at 28,550 miles, the vehicle now sits on 30,205 i will carry on to raise slightly as its my weekend car and a great car to drive.

Depending whom you speak with the standard turbo is capable of around the 400bhp mark, for this reason I didn't want to push the standard turbo to its limits and would rather run a safe and reliable power. This is why the vehicle is currently running a very drivable 361bhp and 396ft/lb of torque which was fully setup on the DynoDymanics rollers @ Area 52 Autosport.

With only a few simple modifications the power could be increased and i would be happy to advise.


Whilst the engine work was being carried out I had the below work done.
Bodywork:
• Full Vehicle Detail inc machine polish to a glass finish
• Full front end re-spray carried out to a glass finish
• All plastics prepped and painted deep gloss black
So it's safe to say that this vehicle looks immaculate and is in showroom condition.

Braking system:
• Front EBC Grooved Discs & Pads
• Rear EBC Pads
• Genuine Subaru Rear Disc
• Dot 4 ATE Blue Race Fluid - Complete system flush + Change

Suspension:
• Tein 25mm/30mm Street Springs
• 4 Wheel Geometry Setup

Exhaust:
• Hayward & Scott Decat Pipe
As the 330s comes with the Prodrive second Decat and Catback system fitted from factory this was left alone as sounds great and not loud like the aftermarket exhausts.

Before I had all this work done the vehicle was a standard 2 owner vehicle, second owner only having for less than 2 months so you could say it was a one owner.
