SUBARU IMPREZA WRX WAGON, BLACK, 270BHP, 2003, BLOB STI FRONT END, SPECIALIST OWNED
Hi,
I am selling this Subaru Impreza WRX wagon, in gleaming black and in very good condition. It has a full comprehensive service history, the last 4 years by CAMS Subaru specialist who actually owned the car for 18 months and are on the log book previous to the current keeper. I am sure Brian the owner of CAMS will be happy to discuss the car with any potential buyers.
As I say it has a full comprehensive service history with over 10 stamps in the log. I also have loads of paperwork and receipts which inc MOT's back to 2006 and receipts for servicing, and GENUINE head gaskets, RCM timing belt kit and clutch in the last year. The clutch is a uprated pink box clutch also.
The car is showing 70k however has done a little more then this as it had a new engine with matching clocks 2 years ago. This was because when CAMS owned the car they put a 2.5 motor in at the time, then reverted back to a 70K WRX engine when they came to sell the car. We estimate the car has covered circa 90k now but as mentioned the engine has only done what the odometer reads. Also the head gaskets and timing belt were done on this engine as mentioned around a year ago.
The car drives spot on with no fauts and has sensible upgrades and modifications which are listed below:-
Pink box Exedy Clutch (12 months ago)
Full decat exhaust including up pipe
Magnex oval back box
JR panel filter
Forge recirc Dump Valve
Walbro 255LPH Fuel pump
RCM timing belt kit (12 months ago)
Genuine head gaskets (12 months ago)
New oil + filter (Millers 10w 60)
New anti freeze
Silicone water and vacuum hoses
Bonnet damper strut
Andy Carr remap with a few tweaks
Full genuine STI 8 front end with saloon wings and cold air feed (worth £600 - £700 to buy second hand??).
New KYB struts with Eibach springs
Detachable tow bar
Uprated rear clear lights
Top roof spoiler
Clear side repeaters
De-badged
Think that's it all I may have missed a few things
Whilst the car has not been rolling roaded it is expected to be running around 270BHP with its modifications and Andy Carr remap. It is very quick, pulls very strong and has a great distinctive Subaru sound as you would expect.
The car will come with a 12 months MOT for the asking price, is fully HPI clear and I have the full book pack, service history booklet, V5 and associate paperwork to pass on to the new owner.
Any questions please don't hesitate to call me (07480 442463), or alternatively if you want to confirm the cars history and maintenance call Brian at CAMS performance in Darwen.
Great chance to own a rare, excellently maintained and tastefully modified Impreza. Priced to sell in the current strong market £3995!!

Just to confirm per a couple of members questions, this car has a genuine STI 8 blob front end including saloon front wings (not the standard wagon wings). This alone has to be worth £600 - £700 if you were wanting to buy it second hand now???
Also yes I will consider sensible offers around my asking price
Yes I will consider p/x to help a deal, providing I am sure I can get my money out of your car by reselling.
Any questions just call or message me

Offer made....will consider P/x providing I think I can ultimately make the money I want for the Wagon by selling yours.
Will accept £3,700 this weekend cash with 12 months MOT due to other project, otherwise will hold out, got to be worth this, feel its a very fair and competitive asking price.

Hi , interested but I have a few questions first, so the car has its original 2.0 engine installed in it now?
What happened to the engine if it needed replacing? Why did they go for the problematic 2.5, then decide to revert to the 2.0 again?
Just seems a convoluted history list of engine swaps.

Hi there,
Per the thread the car was bought by CAMS Subaru specialist as one of there own personal cars. They fitted a forged 2.5 engine and turbo for more power and at that time sold on the original 2.0 WRX engine to a customer.
They used the car in this state throughout there ownership.
When they decided to sell the car for other projects they removed the forged 2.5 and turbo and reverted it back to standard. They fitted a 2.0 WRX equivalent engine and turbo which had only covered 70k and fitted the matching clocks for that engine. They then sold it in that state to its last keeper.
During the last keepers ownership CAMS undertook the head gaskets, timing belt and other work mentioned in the thread.
Call me for further details, or as I say feel free to ring CAMS performance to confirm if you prefer.

Despite some interest this week I have put it on Piston heads @ £3695.
I will consider putting the standard WRX bumper and front wings back on for a lower price should someone prefer that deal.
Please consider this has all the right mods, mapped by a respected mapper, owned by a Subaru specialist and has just had lots of expensive work undertaken in the last 12 months!
Cheers
