Default Immobiliser issue after dead battery

Afternoon all,

I have an import Bug STi, in which the battery recently went dead. I replaced the battery today. I replaced the battery, and now the central locking, alarm, stereo lights etc are working, But the car will not start.
Previously, I would unlock the car with the alarm fob, and have 10 seconds or so to start the car before the immobiliser kicked back in. Now, I get nothing when trying to start it, the fuel pump doesn't prime, no warning lights.
I've tried reassigning the key fobs as per the manual, but it makes no difference.

Any ideas, please?

Thanks

Very good point....it is a Sigma S60, fitted in the UK. There is no keypad with it.

Not being funny but you got a manual or a receipt were it were fitted then you can see if there is a manual over ride on it, check the fuse on the alarm first it might have popped if not don't mess with electrics get a certified professional to rip it out then start over with a fresh one that you know how to over ride etc

Sorry I was going by the old scrappy receipt (2004). It could be an S30. I've tried the manual override in the manual but no luck.

The battery is fully charged, I put it on a charger to be sure.
