Default Viper 480xv Siren dead

Had the battery removed from the car for about 3 months whilst i did various things to the car, anyhoo, car all back together but since the battery has been off so long, the the alarm siren battery is dead also, no problem, it says the siren battery takes its charge from when the car is Running and takes 8 hrs to charge, well, ive driven the car on and off for about 10 hrs now and still a dead siren, do you need to drive for 8 hrs solid ha ha to charge the thing or has my siren battery just given up ?

alarm works but with no chirps or siren when activiated, not really much of an alarm and at £80 for a siren, not cheap !

cheers

well after some invesitgating and forum reading i sorted out the problem, took a bit of soldering and tinkering with the siren but saved £86 for the sake of a £14 part !
