Mitsubishi Lancer register ( formally the Lancer Turbo Register) Has kindly asked me if we "Subaru owners" would like to participate in a rolling road shoot out.
I have come to Scoobynet instead of the SIDC to hopefully get a better response!!!.
9 cars are required ( with mine makes it 10) to fight it out against 10 Mitsubishi Lancer Register owners. I would think they will provide a varied selection from the Evo1 upto the Evo 6.
So we will require at least a couple of modified Scooby's to compete.
They are hoping to get Magazine coverage, as it is one of their first outings as a "new" club, and thus will want to be promoting their new name.
The event Is being held at Well Lane Turbo Centre near Leeds on the 25th February.
I know there is already a rolling road planned at Well Lane the Week before but I hope we can still fill the spaces we have been given.
The price is £17.50 which includes, 1 power run, and a Trophy competion for the following:
Overall Best BHP of the day.
Best Mitsubishi.
Best Subaru.
'Cleanest' Mitsubishi - Voted by the Scooby owners.
'Cleanest' Subaru - Voted by the Mitsubishi owners.
So as a Subaru owner You have a very good chance of getting your hands on a Trophy!!!!!.
If you are interested could you please email Trevor Mudd, the Mitsubishi Lancer Register Events coordinator at

Anyone know how Well Lane's power figures compare to Powerstation or Power Engineering?
(I got 259bhp at powerstation on the last scoobynet rooling road gathering) Any ideas what I could expect at Well Lane?

Add about 40 bhp to Powerstations figures and you get Well Lane figures roughly.
I am pretty confident that the Misubishis will be the winners - as they produce about 10-20bhp more than the Scooby sti's in standard trim.
I'm up on the 18th - if that one goes ahead - so no point in attending on the 25th as well

Japanese Performance Magazine have now confirmed that they will definitley be at this event.
They also said that they are interested in cars coming even if they do not do the Rolling Road, as they are looking for future Feature Cars for their Magazine.
A Chance to be Famous !!!!!!.
There are a couple of places left for Subaru's.

Forgot to ask this.
Phil.A
could you please contact Trevor at the MLR or myself, as Trevor has had difficulty contacting you via your email address.
He just wants to send you an email with the timings on etc.

Should be an interesting feature , i'll keep my eyes open for it.
Do you mind if i just get a quick answer to a slightly 'off topic' question (although it was refered to earlier), why is there such a huge power difference between Well Lanes and Powerstations RR's. I know a lot of you guys use Powerstation but how do you know whose RR is calibrated properly and which is likely to be more accurate.
sorry for butting in!
cheers

There are no spaces left now.
The line up is.........
1.Me (Muddy)
2.Phil.A
3.Salsa-king(Phil.B)
4.Nigel Kearney
5.pwebb
6.Leigh
7.Stan
8.craigamungos
9.Mike R
10.Simon a
11.Tim lee (MLR member)
Our oppostion are, 2 Evo 1's, an Evo 3,4&5, 6 Evo 6's, and a Tommy M. 12 in total
Trevor has the Trophies now.
Trevor mentioned that he would like to run the scoobies first (Don't quote me on this though)as he wants the majority of the MLR members to stay as long as possible seeing that it is an MLR organised event( His thoughts were that if the Evo's went on first they would all shoot off home!!!).
Anyway, I believe Trevor has sent everybody directions and timings.
I will plan to be there early (about 08:30) to sort stuff out, I'm in a red wrx, and I'll have my "Muddy" No. plates on
See you there.
