It's all been removed Arch and new stuff going in the seat rails are further back and lower. The passenger one is further back and lower than that of the drivers rails.

This is a bit more in depth than I first imagined it would be.

Can't wait to see it in the flesh again.

Dave has got one of my Sparcos to set it all up from anyway Arch. All new fixtures going in.
I know he's making up the tube work this weekend so the cage can start going in this week. The A pillar gussets are my favourite part as they're the WRC items and they're so pretty, I could look at them all day long. Lol

Hi mate, yeah Dave mentioned that a couple of guys dropped in and recognised my car. At the time i didnt realise who he was talking about but now obviously i do.
Yeah i did see your shell there as i was having a good look around when i dropped mine off.
My plan is for the inside to be done so far. Then once funds allow ill look at doing the rest including all the exterior.

Dave does absolutely stunning work and hes probbaly one of the nicest people ive ever met in. I cant wait to see what he does with mine, i basically gave him artistic licence to do what he wants inside lol

You won't be disappointed ,, don't think you would of seen my shell as its not at daves at the mo , I moved it so he could fit a few cages in between doing mine as he is doing mine for love and hugs so I'm on his persanol time lol, mines got a full steel wrc kit and cage aswell as the wrc turrets and a few other bits and iv just got myself some gobstopper billet hubs and wrc subframes so it's slowly getting there ,,,,, always liked your motor as does the other chap that was with me as he also owns a very nice black prodrive bug aswell but I'm sure dave will improve it the way he does best

Big progress today. Cage was dropped to weld the tops and the screen got its corner gussets. Tomorrow the centre cross will be boxed in to the swan neck. But still my favourite part to come and they're the WRC a pillar gussets.

Gotta love build threads that involve roll cages.

So what's the plan for the interior once the cage install is finished? Would be a shame to cover those welds tbh, they look rather nice.

Well they will be covered with paint, but little else.
Interior will be largely carbon panels with parcel shelf, rear firewall, rear bench, carbon footwells and doorcards.
Fire extinguisher, and seats. Dash will be extensively modified to fit nicely before being flocked and going back in.

Thats it in a nutshell. It will be very noisy and bare, but i hope finished to a professional standard. so it looks purposeful but properly engineered.

Thats the target anyway
