Cheers boys.

Yeah it's a monsterous task and to be honest I do keep looking at old photos of it and wonder WTF have i done?
However I've been in this position before and wondered how on earth I'm ever going to make it good again, and I made it through last time I took it apart.
Dave is incredibly knowledgable and talented, so I know it's going to be mega. He understands my goals and shares my passion for doing the mental stuff.
He inspires me with the build, so I know it's in the right hands, however it will be a whole lot worse before it gets better!

If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. Watch this space as they say.

I feel exactly the same mate and still find myself looking at the old mag write ups and think did I do the right thing stripping a car I loved so much ,, if I knew I was going so far with it I would of prob got another shell for Dave to work on and kept mine on the road till build up time but I just went over for a quick cage to start with and ended up going the full works aswell lol I'm sure it will be worth it once there finished

Lol, thanks very much Dan. You've done a great job on yours creating what I think is the timeless Subaru silhouette. WR blue on gold speedlines quite simply will never date. A very deserved feature IMO.
Glad to have possibly inspired you like so many have inspired me.

I hope this next chapter for my car will do it the justice I hope to achieve. I really want to create something special, and with the ideas I have in mind, I've no doubt it can be pulled off with a level of detail and finish.

The NSR tub and turret taking shape today.
Here you really start to see how much wider the WRC flares are than the OEM body. You can also see just how much the wheel wells now intrude into the rear door apertures. The arches are absolutely enormous.

Even tacked in it looks pretty damn cool, can't wait to see it smoothed, epoxy coated and painted.

Scary bit first though!!

Lol, I cut people's roofs fitting vents most months of the year.
I really couldn't care less if I'm honest.

I know what it's going to look like when it's done remember.

Most of the NSR tub is now complete on its basic layout. Looks superb and I'm really pleased with Daves work.

More forming of the rear door jam and its return. Here you can see how much of the rear wheel well comes into the door aperture again. Also how much the jam has come out to meet the wider track.
Also more fettling of the rear qtr panel. The rear qtrs aren't far away from going on now.
All of this will then get its final fit and finish along with panel gaps to be set before she goes for paint.

She's all ready for the qtr panel to go on this week. These are going to look beautiful once painted.

Frayz, what are you doing to your car! Long time no speak hope you are well. Im sure this will look amazing when complete!

I'll be keeping an eye on this from now that's for sure, are you going to have it painted a different colour? Sorry if this has been discussed already but I've not checked this thread for a long time.
