Can't believe I missed this, I am so sorry to hear your terrible new and my heart goes out to you, well done to all who made this happen.. I'm sitting here reading the posts and looking At the photos with my son and I've got tears in my eyes.

This kind of thing reminds me why I bother with Scoobynet and this scene.

Keep strong my friend

Yer great soft Scouse lump :luxhello: Only kidding, I got "something in my eye" a few times that day.

I don't think it could have gone better, it was a great day for the lad, weather was spot on and lots of luvverly cars.

I would have let you know but I don't lurk here much anymore and I only found out a couple of days before from Connor's uncle.

Just read this and got a lump in my throat instantly, having 3 children myself the first thing you think of is if it ever happened to any of them, and I'm sure I'll be speaking for every parent by saying its one of their worse nightmares. The whole situation is so sad mate and I hope you can stay strong through it all.

It looks and sounds like your son had which must of been the best day of his life, as a petrol head myself from such a young age I know that if I ever had an event arranged for me like that it would of felt so special and been such an exciting day, so hats off to you arranging the day for him and to everyone who attended, I just wish I saw this before hand because I would of attended even though its miles and miles away from where I live.

Keep strong mate, for your sake, and your sons.

Our thoughts are with you all :)

Scott, glad to hear Conor still doing ok. Hoping things are better with your ex and that you are getting to see him a bit more.

Marietto 05 October 2012 12:11 AM

Absolutely delighted to hear Connor is doing well Zippy. We all had an awesome day and you should be proud of what you managed to achieve with all of your fellow enthusiasts in that short window of opportunity. Like most people my Connor's Day T-shirt arrived also and I am sitting wearing it now as we speak.. and have been all day! I pray for Connor and hope he continues to show the strength that he has obviously inherited from his father. God bless

Mario

I've just come across this thread and im actually kicking myself that i missed it.

I lost my nan to lung cancer on April the 10th and then her husband my grandad on July 27th to prostate cancer. I would have loved to have shown my support.

Give some hugs to the lil man from me mate.

Palmer.

If Scott wants to vent let him LJD, bit of respect for the old timers on here please.

bustaMOVEs 06 October 2012 10:54 PM

Ljd is that idiot from the Volvo forums that's kept slagging our organisation methods and had his posts removed.
Jog on ljd. You are a prick that got proved wrong

We are here to support Scott whatever the circumstances. If he is finding some comfort and solace in dealing with his heartache by talking about it with his friends and supporters on here, then who are you to deny him that? If you don't have any words of support for the poor fella then take a hike and go elsewhere you bell end. :hjtwofing

seen as there are no events to speak of i would love her to come on here and explain why my son is being kept locked away for the last weeks of his life at least then i,d know myself too :wonder: i dont think anything i said in my above post would be any different from what anyone else would put in my position if not a bit more restrained even if i do say so myself :Suspiciou thanks to all with brains for there support on this much appreciated :thumb:

samuelellis 06 October 2012 11:31 PM

Scott

ignore that Ljd fella, i remember the posts he put up slagging off the organisation of the meet

Just remember do NOT rise to any bait your ex puts out (i know thats stating the obvious but you know what i mean)

New_scooby_04 07 October 2012 12:38 AM

Guys, I have deleted the offending post and warned LJD to cease and desist, please refrain from commenting on this any further; just RTM if anything escalates! Let's not get sidetracked on this thread with flame wars.

Ta!

I'll put this simply: For doing that you are banned.

Grow up and show some compassion. This is not the time or thread to play devil's advocate.
